As usual, endurance is not without its twists and turns, and the 24 hours of the FIM Bol d'Or E.W.C. are no exception to the rule, this time “thanks” to Bridgestone!

After a first round led by Greg Black for the Yoshimura SERT Motul, the start of the race was led by a brilliant Corentin Perolari on Honda #4 of Tati Beringer Racing, until his teammate Hugo Clere breaks the selector at the start of its relay.

We then found the usual tenors of the category at the forefront, until the Yamalube YART Yamaha EWC Official Team #1 did not experience a major problem with her rear tire and was forced to return to the pit, where the Bridgestone attendant quickly hid the destroyed tire.

A few minutes later, before the end of the second stint, it was the turn of the FCC TSR Honda France #5 to meet the same fate, leaving the  Yoshimura SERT Motul #12 in the lead in front of the BMW Motorrad World Endurance Team #37. The Suzuki being equipped with the same tires from the Japanese manufacturer, which usually dominates the world championship, it decided to no longer use the hardest tire in the allocation, the track temperature being this afternoon the highest of the week. With the temperature going to drop, there should no longer be a problem, especially since the type of tire concerned has been removed from the allocation.
