Team ERC Endurance (Équipe Reinhardt Compétition) is a German team based in Karlsruhe, led by Uwe Reinhardt, a former endurance racer and director of the robotics company Prokasro. Over the years, the team has competed in the FIM Endurance World Championship (E.W.C.) by collaborating with different manufacturers and by associating with renowned pilots.
In 2018, Team ERC Endurance joined forces with BMW Motorrad to form Team ERC-BMW Motorrad Endurance. This collaboration marks an important step, with a trio of experienced French riders: Kenny Foray, Julien Da Costa and Mathieu GinesThe team made its debut at the Bol d'Or in September 2018.
The team decided to change manufacturers in 2019. From the second round of the 2019-2020 season, the Sepang 8 Hours in December 2019, Team ERC Endurance began using Ducati Panigale V4Rs. Ducati Corse provided significant technical support, including developing specific endurance parts and providing engineers for each race.
In 2022, the team strengthens its squad by recruiting experienced drivers such as David Checa, Xavi Forés, Chaz Davies, Mathieu Gines and Lorenzo Zanetti. That year, the Ducati Panigale #6 demonstrated its reliability by finishing the 24 Heures Motos in eighth place, shining at the Bol d'Or until two hours from the finish, and scoring points in all the rounds of a championship that it concluded in 9th position. In 2023, with the crew Phillip Oettl, David Checa and Chaz Davies, the Ducati #6 finished 12th in the championship.
After a hiatus in 2024, Team ERC Endurance has announced its return to the EWC for the 2025 season, this time under the name ERC BMW Endurance Team. The team names Xavi Fores, a former team driver, as Team Manager. The trio of drivers is composed of David Checa, Kenny Foray et Ilya Mykhalchyk who finds a private BMW there instead of an official one, with Julian Puffe as reserve rider. BMW Motorrad and Dunlop are supporting this new setup.
Xavi Fores, Team Manager: “Uwe Reinhardt needed someone by his side during the race weeks and he offered me the opportunity to be Team Manager. After many years as a driver, it was the right time to move forward and start a new chapter. So I decided to accept this role and start working for my future. Of course, if I use my experience in racing in EWC and in different championships, as well as my experience as a former driver of this team, putting all this together, it could be beneficial for the team. I am also supported by David Checa, who has a great experience in endurance racing. Together we are working hard to make this project a success. We also have the support of BMW and Dunlop.
I hope we can fight for the top 4, top 5 in every race, starting with Le Mans. To be honest, we have already fought for victory in the past with the Ducati, so if we manage all the elements well, we can get involved in the fight."
