The Japanese team FCC TSR Honda France takes provisional pole for the 8 Hours of Oschersleben ahead of the Suzuki Endurance Racing Team and the GMT94 Yamaha.

At the top of the provisional ranking for the 2017-2018 FIM EWC World Championship, the FCC TSR Honda France decided to hit hard from the start for this 4e sleeve in Germany. With an average of their best times of 1'27.058, Freddy Foray, Josh Hook and Alan Techer put the #5 Honda at the head of the first qualifying session of the 8 Hours of Oschersleben. This performance bodes well for this Japanese team which must defend its leadership position just one point behind GMT94 Yamaha.

Highly contested, this timed session was sometimes decided to a thousandth of a second. This is what separates the Suzuki Endurance Racing Team, 2e of these qualifications, and the GMT94 Yamaha which is ahead of Team SRC Kawasaki and YART Yamaha. This Top5 of the day is held in three tenths of a second!

The NRT48 (BMW) confirms its ambitions by taking 6e place on the provisional starting grid just ahead of Honda Endurance Racing and Bolliger Team Switzerland.

In 9,e position of these qualifications, Mercury Racing (BMW) will have to recompose its crew around Karel Hanika - very fast in his session - and Sylvain Barrier after the fall of Jakub Smrž. Injured, he should not take part in the race.

Tenth and first Superstock on the provisional grid, Yamaha Viltaïs Experiences is ahead of No Limits Motor Team (Suzuki) and Tati Team Beaujolais Racing, leader of the provisional Superstock ranking, in this category.

The second qualifying session will take place tomorrow Friday from 11 a.m. CEST at the Motorsport Arena in Oschersleben.
