The British Endurance Racing Team, a 100% British team, is preparing for its second full season in the FIM Endurance World Championship EWC and is fielding new drivers alongside Jonathan Railton, who will be supported by Joe Akroyd and twin brothers Kurt and Matthew Wigley .

For its first full season in 2020, this English private team finished 16th in the FIM EWC World Championship (42nd at the Bol d'Or, 31st at the 8H of Sepang, 25th at the 24H of Le Mans Motos, 18th at the 12H of Estoril).

In 2021, the Suzuki number 31 of the British Endurance Racing Team, equipped with Dunlop tires, changes category and will enter the FIM Endurance Superstock World Cup, a category in which it had already participated twice at the 2H of Oschersleben .

The mainstay of the team will be Jon Railton, who remains with the team for his third consecutive EWC season. He will be joined by Joe Akroyd, 31, who is a road racing specialist for Team Classic Suzuki and has competed in the Isle of Man TT and Manx GP for several years. He will make his first laps in Endurance during the 24 Hours of Le Mans Motorcycles aboard the English Suzuki.

Twin brothers Kurt and Matthew Wigley, 25, have been racing for 18 years and are working their way up the ranks. For 5 years, they have participated in the British Superpsort Championship.

The bike was bench tuned this winter: comparisons with other bikes in the Superstock category on the same test bench showed that the BMW develops 212hp, which is no less than 12hp more than the Suzuki from the English team, with a similar torque curve. The new Honda gets the same power at the expense of torque. But as the saying goes, without mastery, power is nothing. “The objective is to finish in the Top 10 in Superstock” announces David Railton, team manager of the British Endurance Racing Team.
