Horst Saiger has long been one of the pillars of Bolliger Team Switzerland in the FIM EWC World Championship. Vice-world champion with the Swiss team in 2010, we saw him on the 2nd step of the podium at the 2010 Bol d'Or and at the 8 Hours of Doha 2012 and on the 3rd step at the 24 2015 Heures Motos.

Since 2013, Horst Saiger is also a road racing specialist and regularly competes in the Tourist Trophy on the Isle of Man, the North West 200 in Northern Ireland, as well as the Macau GP, all aboard a Yamaha R1.

In the spring, the Liechtenstein-based pilot released a new professional video, always with the aim of sharing his passion, after the one on Macau in 2019.

Unfortunately, the 49-year-old Austrian driver suffered a very serious fall last Sunday during training at the Red Bull Ring, following an apparent front brake problem.

Immediately taken to hospital, Horst Saiger was placed in an induced coma due to his numerous injuries. According to doctors, his condition is critical but stable.

We must now wait and hope, as do his wife and three young children to whom we extend all our support.
