We know that 24-hour endurance events have become real sprints where every second is important for the final ranking.

This 42nd edition of the 24 Heures Motos was no exception to the rule, and the first hour of racing has already offered us a fantastic spectacle!

From the start, Vincent-Philippe takes command aboard the #1000 Suzuki SXR-2 ahead of the #111 Honda, the #11 Kawasaki, the #333 Yamaha and the #8 Kawasaki. But 2 competitors fall at the first corner, which leads to the appearance of the safety car.

On resumption, Randy de Puniet (Honda #111) is the quickest and takes command in the Dunlop curve before conceding it to the Kawasaki #11 of Jeremy Guarnoni.

While the two men compete for leadership, Florian Alt made a mistake on Yamaha #333. Nothing bad but a few minutes lost all the same for one of the favorites.

On your mind, Randy de Puniet is in the crosshairs of Jeremy Guarnoni, the 2 men being detached in front of a trio Mike Di Meglio (Honda #1), Niccolò Canepa (Yamaha #7) and an unexpected Sébastien Suchet (Kawaski #8).

After 15 rounds, Jeremy Guarnoni seizes the lead and slips through the middle of the stragglers while the Honda of Randy de Puniet appears to be limited by the brakes and the rear axle, the latter causing a few racket hits.

7 laps later, Mike Di Meglio, who occupied 3rd position, made a mistake at Dunlop. The motorcycle is very damaged but returns to its box.

Last adventure of this first hour, Vincent Philippe pulls straight at the blue S and will gently hit the wall before getting back on the track.
