YART Yamaha takes provisional pole position after the first qualifying session at the Bol d'Or ahead of ERC-BMW Motorrad Endurance and FCC TSR Honda France.

On average of their best times in the first qualifying session (1'55.337), Broc Parkes, Niccolò Canepa and Marvin Fritz place the YART Yamaha on provisional pole for the Bol d'Or. The three Austrian Yamaha riders gave a great demonstration of homogeneity. They all three completed their best laps between 1'55.241 and 1'55.470.

This allows them to beat the ERC-BMW Motorrad Endurance (1'55.624) despite the best individual lap in 1'54.997 for Kenny Foray who teams up with Julien da Costa and Mathieu Gines.

The official German BMW is ahead of the reigning world champion, FCC TSR Honda France (1'55.771) with Josh Hook, Freddy Foray and Mike Di Meglio.

Team SRC Kawasaki France is in the wake of this leading trio on the provisional grid for the Bol d'Or with Randy de Puniet, Jérémy Guarnoni and David Checa.

Yamaha Viltaïs Pierret Experiences makes a great entry into EWC with a 6e position built by Florian Alt, Axel Maurin and Alan Techer. They are narrowly ahead of the Suzuki Endurance Racing Team of Vincent Philippe, Etienne Masson and Gregg Black.

In Superstock, Team 33 Coyote Louit Moto (Kawasaki) and Gert56 (BMW) are best placed in 10 and 11e position.

Night testing takes place this evening on the Paul Ricard circuit. The second qualifying session will begin tomorrow Friday at 9:40 a.m. CEST.
