Young French hopeful Enzo Boulom, who finished the Red Bull MotoGP Rookies Cup in 6th place last year, was due to compete in the FIM CEV Repsol Junior Moto3 World Championship this season with the Leopard-sponsored Machado team.

Unfortunately, a final contract in which there were hardly any details concerning the motorcycle made available to him forced the French rider to renounce this agreement with the Spanish team.

It therefore turned to another leading team (whose name will be published after final agreement) and the discussions this time seem sufficiently advanced to be able to envisage a very serious program including, in addition to the eleven races of the FIM CEV Repsol, at least one wildcard during the French Grand Prix, with the blessing of the French Motorcycling Federation and subject to the usual acceptance of the FIM/Dorna authorities.

As the FIM Repsol Junior Moto3 World Championship is also on the program for the French Grand Prix weekend at Le Mans, this would take us back a few decades, when riders used to compete in 250 and 350cc, or 350 and 500cc.

More recently, in 2014, Marc Marquez had considered racing in both Moto2 and MotoGP during the last Grand Prix in Valencia, but those around him dissuaded him.

Either way, it would be a very busy weekend for the Alès driver and if you would like to show him your support, you can always do so through a register for your Fan Club.

Knowing the usual difficulty in arriving in Grands Prix for a relatively poor driver, we wish the best to Enzo Boulom whose 2016 journey we will follow carefully.
