During the last Grand Prix to date, at Le Mans, Randy de Puniet demonstrated the MotoE on Sunday with the same model as that previously used last January by Sylvain Guintoli in Almeria, that is to say the model directly derived from the series and developing 145 horsepower.

But for the first time, very discreetly, we also found in Sarthe two other more elaborate prototypes for competition, also derived from the Energica Ego.

Battery capacity and location, chassis geometry, power, ABS delete; we are currently working in several directions in Italy, and, according to our information, one of the two machines now develops 160 horsepower.

Improved performance but also significantly increased autonomy since it seems that we managed to do 8 laps of the Bugatti circuit without the slightest detectable loss of power, which corresponds exactly to the specifications but was until now very far from be achieved, and that's an understatement...

Nicolas Goubert, now responsible for the project, confirmed to us that unlike FormulaE, no notion of electric saving strategy should be involved with the motorcycles: it will be full throttle, and all the time!

The next demonstration will take place at Mugello next weekend with, as we suggested to you, Max Biaggi on his handlebars. It will undoubtedly, once again, be the production bike, but there is no doubt that we are actively working behind the scenes to prepare for next season...
