The MotoGP transfer market having closed for factory teams, it has moved to the phase of private teams and related drivers.

Among the latter, if Alvaro Bautista could head to the Aspar team, Eugene Laverty, Stefan Bradl and Loris Baz explore different possibilities, including on the Superbike side, based on the principle that it is perhaps better to have a bike to win in this championship than a private bike in MotoGP.

speedweek reports an interview with the Team Manager of the Ducati SBK team to find out who could be alongside Chaz Davies next year.

Davide Giugliano is not excluded but, according to Serafino Foti, his place is also being considered by the aforementioned MotoGP riders among others.

According to our information, Loris Baz is indeed studying this path, while favoring his renewal within the Avintia team, and, for this, the French rider was present last weekend in Misano during the World Ducati Week.

Loris Baz: “I had a nice time at the WDW. It wasn't planned for me to be there, due to rehabilitation, but I ended up going there for 24 hours. I feel good within the Ducati family and we took the opportunity to evaluate the possibilities to stay there, both in MotoGP and in SBK. I met Stefano Cecconi, the dynamic Boss of Aruba, and we got along well. I feel very good at Avintia and that is my priority, but I must not miss out on excellent SBK options in the event that we do not manage to bring together all the elements on the MotoGP side…”

As always in such a case, it is difficult to be certain about the future, as the situation can change from day to day.
