11th in Qatar, 26th in Argentina, Jules Danilo entered Le Mans after two places in the Top 10 in the USA and in Jerez.

The first day confirmed the rise in power of the French pilot, who concluded it at the provisional third position.

Unfortunately, pilot Ongetta Rivacold suffered a big fall during qualifying and therefore knows that everything will have to be done again, with the double handicap of a bad place on the grid and a body still severely bruised.

He tells us about his Sunday at Le Mans…

Jules Danilo: “Today was not my day. After yesterday's fall, I took good care of myself to try to be in good shape for Sunday. I had some doubts about the warm up, because when I got up this morning, I was really very stiff and I still had a lot of pain in my left shoulder.

During the warm up, I was surprised because despite the big fall, I recovered the feeling quite quickly and had a good, extremely regular session. I thought then that it was going to do it for the race, especially since I had the S and I knew I was comfortable on those tires there. So I left confident for the race, I knew it was long and I would have to make a good start, be smart in the first turns and not panic. That's exactly what I did and I think I overtook 6 drivers in the first corners, and I think I wasn't far from Migno. So when I see the race that Migno did, I say to myself that it’s a real shame.

In fact, what happened was that I entered the Museum, I passed Darren and Martin on the brakes, and as I entered the bend, I felt an impact on the rear, my motorcycle went flying. spinning top and I see Hanika in the gravel. Indeed, he later confirmed to me that he had indeed grabbed my rear.

It's very frustrating because I thought I had corrected things this morning in warm up, and in the end, we left with zero points. It's very annoying but I think we have to remember the positives from the weekend because, especially this Friday, it wasn't just a time like that; I was competitive during both sessions. We must therefore keep this positive side for Mugello as well as the good spiral in which we are at the moment, because we are constantly arriving on new tracks, but I still have this same feeling on the bike, so there is no There's no reason why it shouldn't pay off. It has already paid off twice in a row, there, unfortunately, a little slump, but this Grand Prix is definitely not successful for the French. We are going to Mugello with confidence because there is everything we need to have a good season. »
