Alpine and Lacoste have joined forces for an unexpected yet ambitious collaboration. The two French brands unveiled a one-off Alpine A290 Rallye, accompanied by a capsule collection blending the DNA of motorsport with that of the iconic crocodile brand.

This initiative comes a few months after the arrival of Pierre Gasly as ambassador of Lacoste, thereby strengthening the links between the brand and the world of motorsport.

An A290 Rallye transformed into a work of art

baptized "Beware of the Crocodile"This very special version is based on the Alpine A290, the sporty electric city car derived from the Renault 5 E-Tech. Designed for customer racing, it receives specific preparation with enhanced aerodynamics, wider tracks, an imposing rear wing, a roof air intake and numerous carbon fiber elements.

The identity of Lacoste It's everywhere. The white bodywork with bluish reflections is punctuated with crocodile-inspired details, while the light signatures evoke its gaze. Inside, the atmosphere contrasts sharply with an all-red interior, designed to recall the inside of the famous reptile's mouth. The seats and door panels feature the famous "petit piqué" fabric of Lacoste and not less than 290 crocodiles are discreetly integrated into the design as a nod to the name of the A290.

To accompany this launch, Alpine et Lacoste also unveiled a short film entitled "The Test".

We find Pierre Gasly alongside the actor P, in a humorous sequence featuring this exclusive A290 Rallye. True to its quirky image, Niney appears far less comfortable behind the wheel than the driver of Formula 1, offering a playful contrast to the professionalism of gasly.

A capsule collection inspired by the circuits

The collaboration doesn't stop at cars. A capsule collection called "Shorts and Circuits" accompanies this project. It includes co-branded polos, t-shirts, technical jackets and accessories, blending Lacoste's iconic elegance with the sporting world of'Alpine.

A partnership that goes beyond Formula 1

With this unique creation, Alpine et Lacoste seek to showcase French expertise through a project that combines design, performance, and fashion. Pierre Gasly, already the face of Lacoste Since the spring, this operation marks a new stage in his role as ambassador, well beyond the circuits of Formula 1.
