The Italian Motorcycling Federation (FMI) continues its work to advance young speed talents.

This commitment has been going on for years and will be strengthened in 2018 thanks to the collaboration with two important companies: the VR46 Riders Academy and the Misano World Circuit. The federation, in collaboration with the Academy of Valentino Rossi and the circuit named after Marco Simoncelli, has implemented a series of projects, developed on several levels, aimed at the growth of young talents. Projects which will also include, thanks to the support of Misano, the creation and development of a new Federal Technical Center. All this was launched yesterday at the Motor Bike Expo in Verona during the presentation of the 2018 activities of the Misano World Circuit, attended by Giovanni Copioli, President of the FMI, Andrea Albani (Misano World Circuit) and Luca Brivio (VR46) .

The part which will be the subject of the closest collaboration between the FMI and the VR46 will be that concerning the highest level of speed. During 2018, a few training days will take place at the Misano circuit, during which the best talents of the FMI will work in collaboration with the protagonists of the Valentino Rossi Academy. In summary, the best of young Italians will be working to progress together. Activities which, in addition to Misano, will take place at the Valentino Rossi Ranch.

The second part of this agreement will only concern the FMI and the Misanino (karting circuit adjoining the Misano World Circuit) through one-off courses, while the last part of the project is aimed at children aged 8 to 14 for a initiation like those already practiced by the FFM in France during its detection days.

John Copioli, President of the IMF: “We are proud to present this vast project for the rapid growth of young talents. It is the result of long work, carried out in collaboration with the VR46 and the Misano circuit, benchmarks in terms of talent and speed. This will be an important step to continue in a concrete way to create a system, trying to best develop the potential of our most promising young people, but also to help young enthusiasts grow in the best possible way. A project which will be strongly focused on the creation of the new Federal Technical Center, a structure which will serve as a functional hub for all the speed activities of the FMI, but also for all enthusiasts wishing to progress in driving and for young beginners. All this always with maximum security.”
