technical control

At the invitation of the Minister Delegate in charge of Transport, Clément Beaune, a working meeting was held this Tuesday, July 26 at the ministry in the presence of the President of the FFM, Sébastien Poirier and the National Technical Director, Caroline Castillo, as well as for the FFMC, Didier Renoux, General Delegate and Céline Aubrun, Coordinator of the national office.

This time of exchange, in continuation of the work carried out with the Djebarri firm, was part of the extension of therepeal of the decree of August 9, 2021 providing for the implementation of motorcycle technical inspections by 2023.
It made it possible to discuss the implementation of relevant alternative measures in terms of safety and the environment as permitted by European directive 2014/45/EU. An appointment has already been made for next September to continue the work together.

Sébastien Poirier, President of the French Motorcycling Federation: « We welcome the publication of the decree repealing technical inspection, thus fulfilling the commitments made by the President of the Republic. Following on from his predecessor, the Minister was particularly attentive to our recommendations."

Céline Aubrun, Coordinator of the national office of the French Federation of Angry Bikers : “ The outcome of this approach shows that consultation, technical mastery of files, and the unwavering desire to advance the safety of all road users are a good driver of mobility. »

The FFM and the FFMC remain vigilant regarding the measures that will be defined to respond to the European directive.
