Espace 3 Mazarium, located in the heart of Paris, in the prestigious buildings of the Institut de France, hosted the press conference of the French Motorcycling Federation (FFM) on Wednesday, December 18. The opportunity for its President, Sébastien Poirier, to look back on the highlights of the year that has just passed and to look ahead to a 2025 season that promises to be very eventful.
#1 A QUALITY 2024 SEASON
The number of licenses and practice titles for this sporting season stands at nearly 100 000 (99 as of 919/15) including 66 annual licenses. A figure that is part of the positive dynamic initiated after the health crisis with an increasingly large number of practitioners per year. Nevertheless, the FFM records a slight decline in subscriptions of Circuit Pass et licences "a demonstration" due to the particularly difficult weather conditions in 2024The results of the events organized at the national level are of quality with 838 events on the calendar, against 860 in 2023 toy. We also note the holding of 17 world events in the territory with attendance still increasing.
#2 FRENCH PEOPLE WHO ARE SHINED ON THE INTERNATIONAL SCENE
La France counts this season 6 world titles, 11 World Cup victories, 11 European titles et 37 podiums. The know-how of tricolor is no longer to be dismantled in Endurance with the titles of Greg Black et Etienne Masson en E.W.C. and victory in Superstock World Cup du National Motorcycles. Still on asphalt, Kevin Rousseau takes the aspiration ofEmmanuelle Clement and won his first world crown as a passenger. Also worth mentioning is the return of the France at the highest level of theEnduro World with an 10th title at the ISDE. Also note on the plan European, the titles of Mathis Valin en EMX250 European Motocross Championship or alternatively French Motoball Teams en Junior et Senior.

#3 A PROVEN HIGH-LEVEL SECTOR
Like the previous mandate, the youth and the High-Level occupy a prominent place. For many years now, the French Motorcycling Federation was able to experience the structuring of its channels in order to guarantee the sustainability of our contingent of pilots present at most high level. As a reminder, this structuring is broken down as follows: the area or national collectives, base of the pyramid, aiming at a first approach to the high level with promising pilots. Second level of the spinneret, THE French Espoirs Teams bringing together a total of 42 pilots for 10 coaches. They represent the best hopes in their respective disciplines and receive a federal support complete. At the top of the pyramid, we find the selectable drivers in French teams and who will represent their country duringinternational events. These actions represent a investment of almost 3 million euros per year.
#4 TWO INTERNATIONAL EVENTS DEDICATED TO YOUTH IN FRANCE
On July 5th and 6th are to be marked with a white stone for the tricolor youth with the hosting of two major international events, which once again demonstrates the expertise of our organizers. FIM Junior Motocross World Championship by team will stop at Romagné (35). This test created in 2004 is considered a mandatory point of passage for the best drivers in the discipline before distinguishing themselves in World Championship. The holding of the FIM JuniorGP World Championship à Magny-Cours (58) is historical! Never the France had not yet hosted this cycle of events with all the categories on its territory since it was organized mainly in SpainThis event constitutes the final stone of the project. Generation Speed carried by the FFM for 2021. With a contingent of 10 drivers in the European Talent Cup during this season 2024, our pilots tricolor have a card to play on this track that they know particularly well. This event represents a crucial step in accessing the highest level of the discipline Speed. 80% of the drivers from the paddock of the premier category of MotoGP ™ have passed through the series, with this figure rising to more than 90% for the grid Moto3 ™.

#5 ACQUISITION OF CIRCUITS: THE POLICY IS ACCELERATING
This season, the French Motorcycling Federation acquired the Gueugnon Motocross circuit (71) carrying to 22 practice sites, property of the FFM since the launch of the policy in 2011 aimed at perpetuating and developing motorcycling activity in the region. A investment which represents more than 3 million. Around ten acquisition projects were initiated in 2024 and will be finalized in 2025.
#6 THE FFM TAKES OVER THE MANAGEMENT OF THE LOON PLAGE CIRCUIT
Since October 15th, French Motorcycling Federation is the new manager of the Loon-Plage Circuit (59). It succeeds theADASM who had been working since 2002 to the administration and development of this reference site. A new challenge for the FFM who will therefore bring all of her expertise, reflecting what she has accomplished with the Carole Circuit (93) which she has been managing since 2012. The arrival of the Federation must above all make it possible to perpetuate the practice site of Hauts-de-France in the face of the various societal and environmental challenges and issues that the circuit faces. The teams of the FFM are working hard to duplicate a proven organization on the route Ile-de-France. In order to boost the image and reputation of the Loon-Plage Circuit and to support its development plan, a new graphic identity has been developed.
#7 FOCUS ON THE MAIN REGULATORY DEVELOPMENTS
Numerous regulatory developments will accompany the development of our French Championships and the practice of licensees in competition in 2025. Among the major ones, we can mention the redesign of the format of the 24MX Tour with the possibility for the Motorcycle Clubs organizers to dissociate categories MX1/MX2 of the'Hopes/Juniors. In order to supply the categories with pilots MX1 et MX2, THE French National Championships 125, 250 and 450 become French Cups and their Champions respective will be financed by the FFM their commitments for the season 2026 en French Elite Motocross Championship.
En Speed, there pilot safety is still at the heart of concerns with the widespread use of theair bag compulsory for all Championships, out of categories jeunes, 25 Power et Dragster. Also, the wearing a pectoral becomes mandatory.
En Enduro, THE French Cross-Country Championship is part of a new dynamic with the support of two new coordinators. In Trial, a cycle ofurban events makes its appearance in order to liven up city centres and popularise the discipline.
Regarding the policy of reduction of sound emissions on the tests of Speed, the new dynamic noise emission control and the new standards have borne fruit with a significant average reduction of 2bBA measured in 2024 near the circuits on the calendar of French Superbike Championship.

#8 A PRACTICE THAT IS COMBINED IN THE FEMININE WAY
The practice of Motorcycles for Women has been recording significant growth for several years. French Motorcycling Federation recorded a 88% evolution in 10 years. All disciplines now have Championships which are dedicated to them in the image of the Women's Cup. This cycle of tests is part of a new dynamic in 2025 since it will be associated with the Promosport French Cups with four tests in the program.
#9 NEW ERA FOR THE TRAINING OF OUR VOLUNTEERS
The recruitment of new volunteers, essential to the structuring and supervision of our activities, is a major challenge for the Federation. In order to attract a new audience and strengthen its ranks, the FFM launches a program of fully digitalized training, allowing everyone to train remotely, at their own pace and with ease. This development will be accompanied by a recruitment campaign. Finally, for the second consecutive year, the free official license for the first-time buyers is renewed. This initiative has attracted 1 new volunteers in 200.
#10 A REDUCTION IN CARBON EMISSIONS FROM OUR ACTIVITIES IN OUR SIGHTS
La sustainability of motorcycling practice is based on a perfect understanding of theenvironmental impact of our activities throughout the territory. In light of the bMotorsports environmental arometer returned jointly with the FFSA en December 2023, FFM intends to consolidate its actions in this area through a short and medium term action plan. These include the overhaul of the eco-proof label or the FFM environmental codeIn the medium term, it will be a question of defining a roadmap aimed at reduce carbon emissions activities motocyclistes through the implementation of concrete actions: promotion of carpooling, use of clean fuel… It is essential for the FFM to bring the entire sector on board to move towards carbon neutrality.
