At the dawn of the sporting season, the drivers of the Collective Espoirs Vitesse de la FFM are preparing on the track of the Pôle Mécanique d'Alès.

The Mini OGP CollectivesOGP as well as theFrench Espoir team gathered again 19 at 21 February last to Ales (30) for an internship organized by the French Motorcycling Federation.

Under the supervision of coaches from the FFMAlexis Masbou for the group OGP, French Espoir team (7 pilots aged 13 to 16) and Jean-Dominique Brechon for the group Mini OGP (6 drivers aged 13 to 16), the course began with a sports session on the afternoon of 19 February, followed by two days of intensive driving on the speed track Alès mechanical center (30).

Pilots were assessed to identify their strengths and areas for improvement, in order to provide personalized advice for their future progression. “Some have made the jump to larger and more powerful motorcycles, going from 10/12 inch wheels to 17 inches, a successful transition”, explain Jean-Dominique Brechon. Others discovered the sensations of racing motorcycles Honda NSF 250, moving from the category Mini OGP to the category Grand Prix objective.

Exercises were organized to strengthen the fundamental flying skills, notably the  braking , there position on the motorcycle, there path, as well as confrontation exercises for improve the rhythm et pushing the limits of pilots.

The pilots demonstrated a positive mindset, promoting an environment conducive to learning and individual and collective progress.

The pilots of theFrench team significantly improved their times on the track, establishing a record of 1:16.2, illustrating the progress made during this intensive course.

“The times of all the groups were much better than those usually recorded during the season openers, which testifies to the effectiveness of the training and preparation provided by the FFM”, underlines Alexis Masbou.

Another course is planned for March on the speed track of the Alès mechanical center, aimed at intensifying training and maximizing pilot performance in anticipation of upcoming competitions.
