This weekend, the Circuit Ricardo Tormo de la Comunitat Valenciana hosts the second round of the FIM CEV Repsol with a program of two races in Moto3™ and the European Talent Cup, in addition to a single Moto2™ race.

The 2019 FIM CEV Repsol season began in bad weather in early April at the Estoril circuit in Portugal with the victories of Barry Baltus (KTM, Sama Qatar Ángel Nieto Team) at the FIM Moto3™ Junior World Championship, Niki Tuuli (Kalex, Team Stylobike) and Alessandro Zaccone (Kalex, Promoracing) in the European Moto2™ Championship and Ivan Ortolá (KTM, Sama Qatar Ángel Nieto Team) twice in ETC.

Barry Baltus took the first Moto3™ victory of the season, followed by Xavier Artigas (Honda, Leopard Impala Junior Team) and José Julián Garcia (KTM, Fau55 El Señor de las Bolsas). Sama Qatar Team rider Ángel Nieto will defend his position as leader of the FIM Moto3™ Junior World Championship standings against a group of rivals including Jeremy Alcove (Huskvarna, Laglisse Academy), who took pole at Estoril but finished fifth in the race behind Mario Suryo Aji (Honda, Astra Honda Racing Team).

No French people appear in this category.

In Moto2™, Niki Tuuli (Kalex, Team Stylobike) arrives at the Circuit Ricardo Tormo as category leader after a brilliant weekend in Estoril: he won the first race despite a wet track, and finished second in the second race behind Alessandro Zaccone (Kalex, Promoracing), which follows him in the general classification ahead Edgar Pons (Kalex, Baiko Racing Team). Pons, who was a pole sitter, was on the podium in both races, 2nd in the first race and 3rd in the second.

Cedric Tangre (Mistral M610, Yohann Moto Sport) is our only representative in the Moto2 category: 10th in the first race, he finished 18th in the second, obtaining a 15th place in the provisional championship standings.

Ivan Ortolá ( Sama Qatar Ángel Nieto) comes home as the undisputed leader of the ETC after his double victory in the first round in Portugal. Sama Qatar team driver Ángel Nieto leads the standings with 50 points, 23 ahead Marcos Ruda (Cuna de Campeones) and 24 ahead Fenton Harrison Seabright (Wilson Racing) in third position.

On the Frenchies side, yes Clement Rougé (French team – GP sector) impressed in the rain during the first race, it is Vincent Falcone (TFC Racing) which is in 6th position in this cup, thanks to an 8th place in the first race then a 5th place in the second.

We are also waiting to see what will happen this weekend Marceau Lapierre (French team – GP sector), Gabin Planques (Larresport Bradol), Marius Henry (Select Machines), Ilan Peron (Select Machines), Charles Aubrie (Team RLD Racing), but also Lorenzo Fellon (ZF Grand Prix School) came to train.
