The day of racing promises to be exciting after qualifying produced two new pole-sitters in the FIM CEV Repsol at MotorLand Aragón, with temperatures still warm but less scorching than the day before.

Jose Antonio Rueda (Honda, Team Estrella Galicia 0,0) took his first pole position in the FIM Moto3™ Junior World Championship after dominating the weekend so far. Alonso lopez (Boscoscuro, Boscoscuro Talent Team – Ciatti) proved to be the fastest in the Moto2™ European Championship, while Xabi Zurutuza (Cuna de Campeones) achieved his first ever pole position in the Hawkers European Talent Cup.

For the third consecutive round, the FIM Moto3™ JWC saw a new pole sitter, Jose Antonio Rueda, take first place.

The 15-year-old was the fastest on Friday and took advantage of the faster track conditions in QP1 to snatch pole position by half a second despite a crash at the end of the afternoon session. Diogo Moreira (Honda, Team Estrella Galicia 0,0) moved up to second overall thanks to the fastest lap in QP2, while another surprise contender moved up to third, Marco Tapia (Honda, Leopard Impala Junior Team) obtaining his first front row in the category.

The leader of the championship, Daniel Holgado (GasGas, Aspar Junior Team), will be one to watch starting from fourth place. Takuma Matsuyama (Honda, Asia Talent Team), back in form after a difficult round at Portimao, ranked fifth on the grid. Ivan Ortolá (KTM, Team MTA) risked going to the back of the grid after a technical problem which excluded him from QP1, but an impressive comeback during the afternoon allowed him to save 6th position on the grid.

French side, Clement Rougé (Husqvarna, Laglisse Academy) will start from 28th position, two places better than in Portimão.

The surprising battle for the title Moto2™ Ech could experience a twist tomorrow, Alonso Lopez having taken his first pole position since Valencia in May.

All eyes were on his teammate Fermín Aldeguer (Boscoscuro, Boscoscuro Talent Team – Ciatti), who could win the championship tomorrow, but the 16-year-old had to settle for second place after falling in QP1.

Another pair of teammates line up just behind, Adam Norrodin (Kalex, Liqui Moly Intact SIC Racing Team) ahead of Lukas Tulovic for his second consecutive first row. Xavi Cardelus (Kalex, Promoracing) hopes to once again reach the podium from fifth place. Alex Viu (Kalex, Pertamina Mandalika SAG Stylobike Team), which replaces Dimas Ekky Pratama this weekend, complete the second line.

En HETC, the category leader Xabi Zurutuza is well placed to try for a third consecutive victory after taking the first pole position of his career.

The title fight will be in focus with his closest rival, Hugo Millan (Cuna de Campeones), who took second place on the starting grid by setting the best time in Group B in the final seconds of QP2. The Finn Rico Salmela (Team Estrella Galicia 0,0) will start from the front row for the first time, in third position, while Maximo Martinez (Team Honda Laglisse) will be another rider to watch from fourth position.

French side, Guillem Planques (Larresport) qualified 13th in its group A and will start 25th while Alex Gourdon (Leopard Impala Junior Team), 16th in group B, will start 32nd. His brother Theo Gourdon (Leopard Impala Junior Team), author of the 18th time in group B, will take off from 36th position.

This 5th meeting welcoming fewer drivers than usual, there was no catch-up race today and Clement Giabbani (French team) is classified as second reserve, while Léandro Quintans-Sans (First Bike Academy) is not qualified.
