Pristine skies and temperatures of over 40° in the shade in the desert region of Alcaniz, such was the situation during the free practice day of the 5th meeting of the FIM CEV season.

In these conditions, the best times yesterday were achieved in the morning, pending qualifying today.

In the FIM Moto3™ Junior World Championship, alone Jose Antonio Rueda (Honda, Team Estrella Galicia 0,0) and Takuma Matsuyama (Honda, Asia Talent Team) fell below the 1'59 mark in the morning, while Mario Aji (Honda, Astra Honda Racing Team) set the best time of the afternoon in 1'59.163. However, all the big guns in the category appear in the top 10, which already promises a competitive qualification…

French side, Clement Rougé (Husqvarna, Laglisse Academy) was able to progress between the two sessions, going from 25th to 21st position while improving his time.

In the European Moto2™ Championship, we witnessed the same scenario, but this time exclusively between the two essential teammates of the Boscoscuro Talent Team – Ciatti. Finally, Fermín Aldeguer remains the fastest thanks to his time achieved in the morning, even if Alonso Lopez turned out to be 33 thousandths faster in the afternoon.

Finally, in Hawkers European Talent Cup, Xabi Zurutuza (Cuna de Campeones), which remains on 2 victories in Barcelona and Portimao, achieved the best overall time during the first session (FP1 of group A) in 2'02.217, while on the French side, we are currently at more than 2 seconds.

Today temperatures are expected to drop sharply... around 33°.
