The European Talent Cup (ETC) is a one-make formula based on strictly stock Honda Moto3s allowing, as its name suggests, young talents to compete at a high level at a low cost.

Initiated in 2017, success was quickly achieved, and no less than 62 drivers are competing today in Valencia for this second meeting of the season, after a very rainy first round in Estoril. who had been dominated twice by the young Spaniard Ivan Ortolá under the colors of the Sama Qatar Angel Nieto Team.

Double winner near Lisbon, Ivan Ortolá therefore precedes the ranking Marcos Ruda (Cuna de Campeones) and Fenton Harrison Seabright (Wilson Racing), each of them arriving in second position in one of the two races contested.

However, yesterday, during the free practice sessions which have been taking place since Thursday on the Ricardo Tormo circuit in the Valencian Community, Ivan Ortolá et Fenton Harrison Seabright were summoned and interviewed regarding the final of the first race of the year who saw the Briton (#47) fall while crossing the finish line behind the Spaniard (#24) after a contact that was a little too manly...

As a result, the two young drivers were sanctioned by the organizers “for driving irresponsibly causing an accident”.

In the end, the penalties on the grid will be respectively 8 and 12 places for Ivan Ortolá et Fenton Harrison Seabright during the next race, this Sunday at noon.
