Former Grand Prix driver and mechanic for almost 10 years, Christian Boudinot tirelessly continues the development of his TransFiormers Moto2.
After having worked to develop motorcycles for Randy de Puniet, Sylvain Guintoli, Jules Cluzel or Mike Di Meglio et Loris Baz, the irreducible Périgord man created the TransFiormers, a motorcycle using the suspension principle used by Claude Fior in the 80's.
Since then, the machine has continued to evolve, moving from an aluminum chassis to a tubular structure, and riders have paraded on its handlebars, from Louis Bulle à Valentin Debise, Via Gregg Black, Lucas Mahias et Ricard Cardus, the latter even snatching a historic victory in Barcelona in 2016 (see here et leaves).
Today it's Corentin Perolari who pilots the French motorcycle, and it is always the same small team of volunteers gathered around Christian Boudinot which continues its development, with a lot of passion but a microscopic budget.
In 2018, a new aluminum chassis will be built to try to counter the phenomenon of front wheel dribbling, while a trip to the very popular Geneva wind tunnel should help improve engine cooling somewhat.
The small French team is looking for a budget to complete a full season in the FIM CEV Moto2 European Championship.
We give him all our encouragement, as we always do when passion is the main driving force behind a project!
