After the tragedy that happened to the young Hugo Millan at Motorland Aragón, the European Talent Cup has just reduced the number of drivers admitted to take part in races in this category to 30.

The success of this one, which takes place on Honda NSF 250 (Type MR03) from 12 years old, attracted up to 51 young hopefuls divided into two groups during the tests and qualifications, before selecting 38 by a mix between the times and a repechage race.

The process will still be the same this weekend in Jerez where 46 drivers are registered in ETC, still with the repechage race called Last Chance Race, but only 30 of them will be selected to participate in the two 15-lap races.

With 3 races remaining, the Hawkers European Talent Cup arrives with Xabi Zurutuza et Adrian Cruces  in the lead for the Cuna de Campeones, and they are also the two most recent winners. With only 12 points ahead of his teammate, Xabi Zurutuza est loin d’avoir le titre en poche, d’autant qu'”une deuxième course vient d’être rajoutée lors de la finale à Valence.
Maximo Martinez (Team Honda Laglisse) also showed great consistency, and he will still be looking for his first victory of the season. Brian Uriarte (Team Estrella Galicia 0,0), Alvaro Carpe (MT-Foundation 77) and his teammate Alberto Ferrandez are also on a series of races at the forefront.

French side, Guillem Planques (Larresport) unfortunately remains on two blank results but occupies 18th place in the ranking, while Alex Gourdon (Leopard Impala Junior Team) begins to creep into the top 15 in the race. The situation is more difficult for his brother Theo Gourdon (Leopard Impala Junior Team), still without points, as well as for Léandro Quintans San (First Bike Academy) and Clement Giabbani (French team) who have never yet managed to qualify.
