Five races were on our program for this FIM CEV weekend in Jerez.

Four of them were exciting and only the Moto2 race was somewhat soporific.

You can watch them all here.

The organizers announced 16 spectators.

Moto3 Race 1:

When the red lights went out, Sergio García (Honda, Team Estrella Galicia 0.0) got the best start ahead of Ai Ogura (Honda, Asia Talent Team) while Manuel Pagliani (Honda, Leopard Junior), who completed the first row, misses his start and passes the first turns in 9th position.

Sergio García therefore precedes the 3 starters from the Asia Talent Team and AP Honda Racing Team whose motorcycles wear the same colors: Ai Ogura, Yuki Kunii and Somkiat Chantra.

At the end of the first lap, García and Ogura managed to open a small gap while Chantra missed and lost any chance of victory.

Under the leadership of Ai Ogura (Honda, Asia Talent Team), the 2 leading men gradually increased their advantage to almost 2 seconds 10 laps from the checkered flag, while behind, a group of 4 managed to escape of the peloton: Manuel Pagliani (Honda, Leopard Junior), Yuki Kunii (Honda, Asia Talent Team), Raul Fernandez (KTM, Angel Nieto Team) the championship leader who started from 8th place on the grid, and Jeremy Alcoba (Honda, Team Estrella Galicia 0.0).

The latter gradually drops out while the junction between the 2 groups is made 5 laps from the finish, thus giving the opportunity to 5 drivers to fight for victory.

Ogura and Pagliani competed for leadership until the last lap when the Japanese driver started in the lead, with a lead of a few lengths. He is caught by Sergio García who tries a somewhat optimistic maneuver in the last corner and sends the 2 men to the ground, as well as Pagliani into the gravel.

In the end, Yuki Kunii (Honda, Asia Talent Team) won ahead of Raul Fernandez (KTM, Angel Nieto Team) who thus consolidated his lead in the championship over Manuel Pagliani (Honda, Leopard Junior).

ETC Race 1:

Carlos Torrecillas (Punto Moto) made the best start from his 3rd position on the grid. He was quickly chased by Xavier Artigas (Honda Impala), the joint leader of the championship, before a nice skirmish between the two drivers allowed a peloton comprising no less than 45 opponents to get back together.

Nevertheless, little by little, a group of 8 young teenagers manages to escape from the main pack now led by Lorenzo Fellon.

2 laps from the checkered flag, Carlos Torrecillas was squeezed by an opponent and could not avoid the fall.

Xavier Artigas places an attack in the last corner but Matteo Bertelle (SIC 58 Squadra Corse), the pilot of Paolo Simoncelli, comes out better and takes the victory.

On the French side, Lorenzo Fellon finished 10th, Gabin Planques 17th and Clément Rougé 22nd.

In the championship, Xavier Artigas stands out since Matteo Patacca (SIC 58 Squadra Corse), the former co-leader of the championship, ultimately did not participate in the race, his positions in qualifying showing that he did not regain his level before its serious fall.

Moto2:

For the spectators, the only interest of this unique Moto2 race in Jerez lasted only for the first lap.

Indeed, from the start, Lukas Tulovic (Tech3, Teal Wimu CNS) started the best from 2nd place on the starting grid before quickly getting stuck. His teammate Hector Garzo, who was the fastest in qualifying, could have made a good comeback from 14th place on the grid, following the penalty received for too high a fuel pressure, but, alas, the Another driver running in Tech3 was taken out in the gravel on the first lap, which reduced any chance of suspense to almost nothing.

In the lead, Edgar Pons (Kalex, AGR Team) then launched himself in front of Jesko Raffin (Kalex, Swiss Inovative Investors Junior) in a solo race which would last until the finish line which the winner crossed with 7,8 seconds. ahead of the championship leader. In defense of the Swiss driver, he suffered a wrist injury following a fall caused by an opponent on Friday during free practice.

In the championship, Jesko Raffin still leads Edgar Pons by 47 points.

Moto3 Race 2:

When the red lights went out, Sergio García (Honda, Team Estrella Galicia 0.0) made the holeshot in front of Ai Ogura (Honda, Asia Talent Team) while Manuel Pagliani (Honda, Leopard Junior) this time only conceded one place to Somkiat Chantra (AP Honda racing Team).

Quickly, the Leopard rider took command and accelerated the pace, only followed by Sergio García (Honda, Team Estrella Galicia 0.0), Ai Ogura (Honda, Asia Talent Team), Yuki Kunii (Honda, Asia Talent Team), Deniz Oncü (KTM, Red Bull KTM Ajo) while the championship leader, Raul Fernandez (KTM, Angel Nieto team), leads the chasing group almost 2 seconds behind.

Little by little, Oncü stalled and Pagliani tried to escape before seeing his slim advantage reduced to nothing with 2 laps remaining.

Sergio García then temporarily took over command before conceding it to Ogura at the start of the last lap. But in the last corner, the Estrella Galicia driver made another overtaking attempt which, this time and unlike the first race, was crowned with success.

In the championship, Manuel Pagliani recovers 5 points on the leader Raul Fernandez, while he had conceded 9 during the first race.

ETC Race 2:

When the red lights went out, pole sitter David Salvador (Cuna de Campeones) was once again overtaken by Xavier Artigas (Honda Impala) and Carlos Torrecillas (Punto Moto) who immediately tried to escape.

Behind, we don't hear it that way, and if the peloton ends up stretching, there is no real break.

After many fights and passing of arms in all directions, it was finally a group of 16 pilots who presented themselves for the finish in a compact package.

However, we still find at the forefront the main leaders of the first race, namely Xavier Artigas, Carlos Torrecillas and Matteo Bertelle (SIC 58 Squadra Corse), but also Victor Rodriguez (Ikono Motorbike Laglisse) and Marcos Uriarte (MRE Talent) .

After an eventful last lap which saw falls and exceeding the limits of the track, it was ultimately the winner of the first race, Matteo Bertelle (SIC 58 Squadra Corse), who nevertheless went "a little" wide in the first corner, who won by 10/1000 of a second ahead of pole sitter David Salvador (Cuna de Campeones).

On the French side, Lorenzo Fellon finished 9th, Clément Rougé 14th and Gabin Planques 27th.

In the championship, Xavier Artigas is now isolated, 21 points ahead of Victor Rodrigues, whose big loser of the weekend is of course Matteo Patacca.
