62 registered drivers oblige, the young shoots of the European Talent Cup (ETC) are divided into 2 groups to participate in the qualifications.

Those concerning this 2nd round in Valencia took place on a dry track with the sun heating the track to more than 40° in the afternoon, making it generally slower than in the morning.

It was therefore in the morning that group A saw the supremacy of Izan Guevara (Cuna de Campeones) half a second ahead Dirk Geiger (Kiefer Racing), while 1st and 3rd in the championship, Ivan Ortola (Sama Qatar Angel Nieto Team) and Fenton Harrison Seabright (Wilson Racing) had to settle for 8th and 7th times, more than a second and a half from the poleman.

These two pilots were also sanctioned because of their tumultuous arrival in Estoril and will respectively lose 8 and 12 places on the grid.

The significant gaps are potentially due to the number of new tires used during this qualifying, and it is likely that the debates will be much closer during the two races on Sunday.

Happy surprise in a more homogeneous group B, it's Lorenzo Fellon (ZF Grand Prix School), absent at Estoril, who won in 1'43.508, the 2nd overall time, certainly 4 tenths behind the poleman, but nevertheless allowing him to appear on the first row tomorrow Sunday, between the poleman and Jose Antonio Rueda (Talent Team Estrella Galicia 0,0).

Clement Rougé (French team – GP sector) achieved the 9th time in his group, while Vincent Falcone (TFC Racing), 6th in the championship, appears in 16th position in group B.

Let us point out again Marceau Lapierre (French team – GP sector) 25th in group A, just ahead Charles Aubrie (Team RLD Racing) while Gabin Planques (Larresport Bradol) is 26th in group B, Ilan Peron (Select Machines) 29th in group A.

The starting grid was made up of qualifying, and not an alternation of group A/group B. Only Lorenzo Fellon (ZF Grand Prix School), Clement Rougé (French team – GP sector) and Vincent Falcone (TFC Racing) will participate in the main races, the other French representatives having to be content with Series 2.

Final twist in a category which is not lacking, luck smiled on the son of Laurent Fellon, since 5 pilots, including the poleman, were ultimately penalized by 12 places on the starting grid for having driven too slowly during qualifying: Pasquale Alfano (Leopard Impala Junior Team), Izan Guevara (Cuna de Campeones), Raul Rodriguez Munez (Blumaq HMA Racing), Eric Fernandez Robledillo (Team Grupo Machado) and Filippo Maria Palazzi (Bester Capital Dubai Junior Team).

Lorenzo Fellon (ZF Grand Prix School) and its number #5 thus find themselves in pole position on the starting grid.

Clement Rougé (French team – GP sector) will start 15th, Vincent Falcone (TFC Racing) 30th.
