The sun was present this morning on the Jerez circuit to host the two races on the program of the Moto3 FIM CEV Repsol junior world championship.
Moto3 race 1:
When the red lights go out, Alonso lopez (Honda, Junior Team Estrella Galicia 0,0) maintains the advantage of his pole position but the most remarkable start is to be credited to Dennis Foggia (KTM, Junior Team VR46 Riders Academy) who climbed into second position from the third corner. It then precedes Perez (KTM, Reale Avintia Academy), Garcia (Honda, Junior Team Estrella Galicia 0,0), farmhouse (KTM, Cuna de Campeones) and Masaki (Honda, Asia Talent Team) also author of a superb start from 13th position on the grid.
Quickly, however, López built up an advantage of one second over this group of four drivers separated from the peloton.
In the third round, Garcia and Masia go to the ground following a somewhat optimistic attack from the latter.
Two loops later, Lopez was caught by Foggia and Perez, and even ceded command to the championship leader, while Garcia, who had returned to the track after his fall, suffered a very spectacular lockup of his front wheel which caused him to a real somersault from the front.
At the front, Lopez and Foggia are fighting for command, two or three lengths ahead of Masaki and Perez, while Polanco (Honda, Leopard Junior Team) tries to join them after starting from eighth position.
Five laps from the checkered flag, the five leading men regroup, but if we pass back and forth, no one seems able to escape before the finish line.
At the start of the last lap, Foggia took the lead ahead of Lopez, Masaki, Perez and Polanco. As expected, he suffered an attack from Alonso Lopez who took command, but could not respond after contact with Masaki who finished 3rd.
Jason dupasquier finished in 22nd place, Lyvann Luchel in 36th and last position. Clement Rougé Did not finish the first round.
In the championship, Denis Foggia maintains a comfortable lead of 60 points over Jeremy Alcove (Honda, Junior Team Estrella Galicia 0,0) who finished 6th during this first race.
