When the red lights go out, it's unexpected Dennis Foggia (VR46 Riders Academy) who jumped from his fourth row to quickly seize the lead in front of the three riders of the Estrella Galicia 0,0 Junior Team and bravely kept it for 4 laps while a group of 10 riders managed to break away from the platoon: Foggia, Lopez, Alcoba, Garcia, Masia, Ogura, Masaki, Perez, Fernadez, Garcia and Kunii.
Ogura fall without seriousness and despite the attacks of his Spanish adversaries, Dennis Foggia is fighting like hell to maintain its leadership. We lap in 1'55 which is around a second slower than during the Grand Prix.
At the halfway mark, Andy Verdoïa has already returned to 15th position, but this is the moment when Jeremy Alcoba decides to make an effort. Of the group of eight pilots still together, alone Dennis Foggia et Jaime Masia manage to stay in his immediate wake, but Barcelona and its long straight do not lend themselves to breakaways and we see a regrouping of five drivers with five laps to go: Alcoba, Garcia, Foggia, Masia and Perez.
The rhythm drops to 1'56, which allows Lopez to re-enter the leading group three laps from the checkered flag.
A loop later, we find the three drivers of the Estrella Galicia 0,0 Junior Team at the head of the operations but Dennis Foggia took advantage of the straight to start the last lap in front of his opponents and the Valentino Rossi driver managed to maintain a three-length lead until the finish line.
