The second round of the FIM CEV Repsol will be held this weekend at the Circuit Ricardo Tormo of the Comunitat Valenciana.

Daniel Muñoz (Jerez Andalucia Team) in the European Talent Cup, Aleix Viu (Marinelli Sniper) in Moto3™ and Jesko Raffin (Swiss Innonative Junior Investors) in Moto2™ will start from pole position after setting the best times in qualifying of their respective categories.

In Moto3™, Alex Viu (photo), Can Öncü (Red Bull KTM Ajo) and Celestino Vietti (SKY Junior Team VR46 Riders Academy) form the first row of the starting grid with a time of 1:39.410 as the best time achieved by rider Marinelli Sniper. Viu, along with Öncü and Vietti, were the only ones to run under 1:40 although the SKY Junior Team VR46 Academy driver finished 0.571 behind the pole sitter in a very close qualifying session as the difference between the first and seventeenth in the ranking is less than a second. Very close but largely dominated by the first 2, who are within 64 thousandths and have therefore relegated the rest of the field to more than half a second.

The 2 drivers who will be wild cards at the next Spanish Grand Prix in Jerez, Jeremy Alcoba (Junior Team Estrella Galicia 0.0) and Ai Ogura (Asia Talent Team), or finish their qualifications in 7th and 11th position respectively.

In these conditions, we will note the good performance of Jason Dupasquier, the French-speaking Swiss of the CarXpert-KTM-H43 team while, unfortunately, no Frenchman was present in this category which nevertheless had 48 entries.

Jesko Raffin (photo), who arrives as leader of the Moto2™ classification, will start first after setting the best time in the first qualifying session, the second session having been interrupted by a brief storm leaving no chance of improving the times of the Morning.

Edgar Pons (AGR Team) and Lukas Tulovic (Team Wimu CNS) complete the first row of the grid, while Augusto Fernandez (Easyrace), poleman in the first race at Estoril, Hector Garzó (Team Wimu CNS) and Xavier Cardelús ( Team Stylobike) will start just behind. David Sanchis (Easyrace M2) was the fastest on Superstock 600.

Corentin Perolari, whose particularly busy program includes endurance, World Supersport and FIM CEV Moto2, qualified in 13th position aboard the Transfiomers.

Much further away, 28th and last, we find Philippe le Gallo on his Yamaha Stock 600.

Daniel Muñoz (Jerez Andalucía Motor Talent) makes his ETC debut this weekend from pole position (photo).

The student of José Luis Cardoso was unable to participate in the first FIM CEV Repsol event in Estoril because he was not yet the minimum age but in Valencia he leads his category for the first time. Xavier Artigas (Honda Impala), who set the best combined time in Group A, will start second followed by Barry Baltus (Reale Avintia Academy), second in Group B.

With the participants divided into two groups for qualifying, the starting grid is made with the time of the first in group A and the first in group B, the second time in group A and group B, etc.

On the Frenchies side, Clément Rougé came 12th in group A, just like Lorenzo Fellon in group B, while this also saw Mathieu Grégorio finish 15th and Gabin Planques 16th, before the latter was penalized for being underweight. He will finally start from the 12th row.
