Since the twists and turns which caused a delay of three laps to the two successive leaders that were the BMW MOTORRAD WORLD ENDURANCE TEAM #37 (with Kenny Foray) then YOSHIMURA SERVES MOTUL #1 (with Sylvain Guintoli), the 12 Hours of Estoril race experienced its usual share of events, most of them caused by asphalt now overheated to 60° by the Portuguese sun.
First of all, we witnessed the double crash, 12 minutes apart, of the Team LRP Poland BMW at the end of the straight.
But, a quarter of an hour later, there was a violent loss of control Christopher Bergman on the handlebars the Yamaha #777 of Wójcik Racing Team 2 which led to the appearance of the safety car for around ten minutes.

In the lead, the Yamaha #7 managed to maintain a good ten seconds lead over the Kawasaki #11.
Meanwhile, Suzuki #1 and BMW #7 continued their climb towards the top 5, without doing each other the slightest favor, like Javier Forés overtaking Sylvain Guintoli…

In these extremely difficult conditions, the motorcycles suffer either from engine temperature problems, like the Honda National Motos #55 and the Kawasaki BMRT 3D MAXXESS NEVERS #24, or from tire problems, like the FCC TSR Honda France #5 which dissatisfies visibly strongly its drivers despite the 3rd place occupied at mid-race…
