The young Italian (16 years old) from Valentino Rossi's Junior Team won in the last race, after having previously won the 2017 Junior World Championship. He won in Valencia ahead of Alonso Lopez, Jaume Masia and Jeremy Alcoba.

Alonso López occupied pole position alongside Jaume Masía and 3 Moto2017 Junior World Champion Dennis Foggia. For several drivers it was their last race in FIM CEV Repsol: next season Alonso López (currently with Junior Team Estrella Galicia 0.0), Jaume Masía (Cuna de Campeones), Makar Yurchenko (Reale Avintia Academy) and Dennis Foggia (Junior Team VR46 Riders Academy) will move on to the World Championship.

For this CEV 2017 final, behind Dennis Foggia already titled Junior World Champion, the fight was very close for second position between Jaume Masia who had 126 points, Vicente Perez who had 121, Alonso Lopez with 115, Kazuki Masaki with 109 and Jeremy Alcoba with 106.

Jaume Masia made the best start, then Alonso Lopez took command ahead of Dennis Foggia. Vicente Perez fell and took Aaron Polanco with him.

Dennis Foggia took first with 15 laps remaining, closely followed by Alonso Lopez, Jaume Masia and Kazuki Masaki. Sergio Garcia, fifth at 2 seconds, preceded José Garcia. The four leading men remained grouped, Foggia ahead of Masia Lopez and Masaki. Jeremy Alcoba moved up to fifth ahead of Garcia.

Foggia set his pace, followed without problem by Lopez, Masia and Masaki, while the pursuers led by Garcia were around 5 seconds 8 laps from the checkered flag. The group of four leaders was reduced to four when Kazuki Masaki lost the lead and fell without seriousness, thus involuntarily giving up second place in the championship.

Dennis Foggia, Alonso Lopez and Jaume Masia vied for first position. The three men finally crossed the finish line in that order, with Jeremy Alcoba finishing fourth. Jaume Masia ranked second in the Championship ahead of Alonso Lopez.
