On the eve of this last race of the season, Brazilian Eric Granado has a 16-point lead over Spaniard Ricky Cardus. So, if Cardus wins, Granado must finish at worst seventh to be titled, if Cardus is second, Granado must finish twelfth, if Cardus is third, Granado is Champion by number of victories (five).
The Brazilian consolidated his advantage by taking pole position in 1'35.398, with a lead of 0.6 over his closest opponent Hector Garzo, during Ricky Cardus took third position ahead Joe Roberts et Steven Odendaal.
French Corentin Perolari brought Christian Boudinot's TranFiormers to eleventh position. The 600 Superstock 2017 Champion Philippe Le Gallo qualified in twenty-seventh position, seventh in the STK 600.
The Moto2 race will take place this Sunday at noon sharp.
