Giovanni Cuzari has had some great moments with his Forward racing team, like when in 2014 Aleix Espargaro finished seventh in the World Championship, and especially winner of the Open category on a Forward Yamaha. In 2016, Lorenzo Baldassarri won the Misano GP on one of the team's Kalex Moto2s. Since then, things have gotten complicated.

In 2017, the team's two drivers, Luca marini and Lorenzo Baldassarri, only ranked 15th and 16th in the World Championship and left the team, replaced in 2018 by Eric Granado and Stefano Manzi.

Cuzari had meanwhile been in trouble with the law for money laundering and tax evasion (two years suspended), then Kalex no longer supplied him with motorcycles while MV Agusta renounced all sponsorship.

Forward Racing team owner Cuzari and former financial director Marco Curioni could soon face each other in court. Outside the courts, the former Managing Director of Forward Racing and Cuzari's company Media Action SA, which was liquidated in 2016, failed to get Cuzari to ultimately pay an amount of 17 Swiss francs. As a creditor, Curioni now wants a court in Ticino to determine whether Forward Team SA was over-indebted by Board Director Cuzari. An enforcement procedure for unpaid debt could lead to bankruptcy.

“I filed an insolvency petition in a Swiss court last week to enforce my demands "Curioni told Speedweek.com. “ Cuzari now has one month to pay me. »
