According to our sources, it is more than likely that the announcement of the passing of the torch from Honda to the British brand for the exclusive supply of Moto2 engines from 2019 will be made during this weekend.
In fact, this announcement was already to take place in Qatar, but specifications and negotiations that were more difficult than expected delayed its formalization.
The idea mentioned by our Italian colleagues (supply of a 100% original engine by Geo Technology) was not credible in our eyes since we know the infrastructures of the Swiss company. We are therefore awaiting a press release which will formalize the arrival of Triumph in the intermediate category of Grands Prix.
