This fifth round of the MotoGP championship will have done damage to the championship. Arriving at Le Mans, the top four in the title race were united within ten points. When leaving Sarthe, the same quartet not only saw its order reviewed and corrected, but also the gaps widened. Enough to make some happy and sadden others...

The winners of this French campaign are called Maverick Vinales who, in addition to taking his third victory in five completed races, is taking his place in the championship. Here he is with 17 points ahead of a Pedrosa that we did not expect such a celebration.

The Honda official had tests that we could modestly describe as timid before revealing themselves in the race, at the same time as the appearance of a warm sun. Starting thirteenth, Dani climbed to the third step of the podium and placed second in the provisional general classification.

The two aforementioned knock out their companion in the box. At Honda, we regret another fall of a Márquez now fourth with a liability of 27 units. On the Yamaha side, we regret that Red fell into the final loop while wanting to regain control of the race Casa Particular in Viñales. Arriving as leader with two lengths ahead, the Doctor leaves the Bugatti third, 23 points behind his formidable teammate.

The fifth man is now Johann zarco who is 30 points behind the leader, which means that he is only seven points from the provisional podium. In this race, Sam Lowes scored his first points and Sylvain Guintoli does not leave empty-handed for his freelance work at Suzuki. Loris Baz continues to capitalize with its ninth position.

The two KTMs also scored in France, as did the two official Ducatis. Next meeting from June 2 in Italy where Red will be keen to take his revenge.
