We announced to you that the new Michelin front tire requested by Andrea Iannone and Valentino Rossi had been adopted with 66% positive opinions collected by Loris Capirossi at the end of Monday's test in Jerez.

This new tire, called “70” and equipped with a more rigid carcass than the current one, was therefore to constitute the entire allocation from the Italian Grand Prix at Mugello. A press release was even to be published during the day. We're still waiting for it...

Indeed, Ducatis in general, and Jorge Lorenzo in particular, were against the adoption of this front tire since, overall, the Borgo Panigale machines fit very well with flexible and soft tires.

Under the leadership of the Reds, everything is therefore called into question, and the different parties will try to agree on a solution during the Security Commission which will take place this evening at 17 p.m.

The clan of " against " offers an allowance consisting of 3 new rigid tires + 1 current one.

We therefore expect a Security Commission particularly rich in arguments, especially since the speakers should be numerous and divided, starting with Michelin , Loris Capirossi, Jorge Lorenzo and/or a Ducati representative, or even Marc Márquez et Valentino Rossi who voted " for " the adoption of this stiffer tire, just like the majority of the plateau (see our article here).
