There was never any question in Lorenzo's mind that adapting to the Ducati would be a rose garden. He knew the difficulty, but quickly realized during the winter tests that he had underestimated it. His eleventh place at the first Grand Prix in Qatar was as much a disappointment for him as for Luigi Dall'Igna's team.

After an unfortunate fall in Argentina, Jorge finished ninth in the United States. During the Spanish Grand Prix, big progress was made with third place. The Lorenzo-Ducati pair is therefore on the right track. It will be important to confirm this good result this weekend in Sarthe, because the following Grand Prix will take place on the Mugello circuit, in front of thousands of fans and not very far from the factory.

To prepare for this Italian Grand Prix, Jorge and his teammate Andrea Dovizioso were shooting for a day on the Mugello track. They took the opportunity to improve the Desmosedici as much as possible in order to increase its competitiveness as much as possible.

Since his debut in MotoGP, Lorenzo has achieved a total of five victories at Le Mans, including two in the last two editions. Additionally, in nine French GPs, he has finished on the front row five times, including pole position for last year's race.

According to Jorge Lorenzo, who are " After the good vibes we had at Jerez, we are now at Le Mans which is another circuit where I have good memories because I managed to win a number of times and in different categories.

“I have to say though that every circuit has its own story, and here we will have to see how my Desmosedici behaves with the new tarmac. The most important thing though is to maintain the positive spirit that helped us get on the podium in Jerez.

“I am optimistic for this race, because from Austin onwards there have been considerable improvements, especially regarding the sensations, and I am starting to feel the Desmosedici as more and more my own. »
