Official Suzuki rider in the British Superbike Championship, Sylvain has the excellent opportunity to ride again in MotoGP during this French Grand Prix. He tested the machine for two days on the Jerez circuit and was very satisfied with this first contact.

After 7 full seasons in GP, including 4 in 250 and 3 in MotoGP, Sylvain became World Superbike Champion in 2014. Currently competing in British Superbike at Suzuki, he is competing in this French GP replacing Alex Rins. His last Grand Prix took place in Germany in 2011 on a Ducati Pramac.

According to Sylvain Guintoli, “ The Jerez test last week was very positive for me, especially on the second day. I was able to work intensively with the tires and get to know them a little better.

“We focused a lot on the hard tires, probably the ones we're going to use in the race, and I improved my pace a little bit, so I'm happy with that. It was really great to try the Suzuki GSX-RR and do this test. I have a better understanding of the bike and the tires. This will be useful in France.

“Also, the connection we have created with the team is very positive. We shared a lot of information and the feeling is very good. I'm really looking forward to Le Mans.

“The tests have taken away some of my apprehension and I feel more confident, so I can't wait to meet all the French fans and enjoy this incredible experience. »
