On July 3 and 4, the French Superbike Championship will stop at the Nevers Magny-Cours Circuit. During the event organized by the Moto Club Nevers de la Nièvre and the FFM, the fastest French motorcycle riders will compete for the first places in the premier category in 1000cc up to the young hopefuls in Pre-Moto3!

SUPERBIKE 1000: DEBISE VERSUS GINES. Comfortable ! This is how we can describe the lead of Valentin DEBISE (Kawasaki Twist Ring Racing – Dunlop) in the Championship. However, Mathieu GINES (Yamaha Tech Solutions – Michelin), 40 points behind the leader, intends to exploit the slightest flaw in the Albigensian to try to obtain a second title in a row! In 3rd provisional position, Morgan BERCHET (Yamaha – Dunlop) is jockeying to remain among the top riders in the category. He will have to be particularly wary of Axel MAURIN (Yamaha – Michelin) who had won 5rd place twice in 2020 at Magny-Cours. Following a fall during testing at Pau Arnos, Alan TECHER (BMW Tecmas – Michelin) will confirm his participation in the Magny-Cours stage this Friday July 2 in the morning. On the other hand, his teammate within the Tecmas team, Kenny FORAY (BMW Tecmas – Michelin), will be there to chase the podium on a circuit where he trains regularly. Please note, for this 5rd round of the French Superbike Championship, you may have the opportunity to meet Kenny's double! Indeed, supported by Honda France, and credited with a Wildcard, his twin brother Freddy FORAY (Honda – Michelin), World Endurance Champion, will take the start aboard the Honda n°51.In 7rd and 8rd provisional position, Grégory LEBLANC (Ducati TWR – Michelin) and Matthieu LUSSIANA (Yamaha – Dunlop) regularly appear among the fastest riders on the field and are also making an appointment for the Nivernaise stage.

As for the drivers competing in Superbike Challenger, Martin RENAUDIN (Yamaha Moto&GPAddict – Pirelli) and Guillaume ANTIGA (Honda – Michelin) continue their battle for the title of the best young drivers in the premier category. Alan AGOGUE (Yamaha – Michelin) and Valentin SUCHET (Suzuki – Bridgestone), for their part, are competing for the rest of the podium.

SUPERSPORT 600: IT’S HAPPENING AROUND DEBISE

Also above the rest in Supersport, Valentin DEBISE (Kawasaki – Michelin) must however be careful of the progression of the young guard of French speed with in particular the rider of the SSP600 Challenger sub-category: Ludovic CAUCHI (Yamaha – Pirelli) .

The paddock also counts on other Challenger riders like Matthieu GREGORIO (Yamaha – Michelin), Kilian AEBI (Suzuki – Pirelli) or Charles CORTOT (Yamaha – Dunlop) to compete with the best SSP600 riders. This will also be an opportunity for Corentin BRENON (Triumph – Michelin), Adrien ROLLET (Yamaha – Dunlop) and Hugo CLERE (Yamaha – Pirelli) to share their experience to shine at Magny-Cours.

GRAND PRIX OBJECTIVE – PRE-MOTO3: MIZERA, THE RETURN

Within this springboard category towards Moto3, around fifteen young riders are entered in the next stage at Magny-Cours to try to be among the future Champions of motorcycle speed!

Despite his absence at Pau Arnos following an injury, Amaury MIZERA (Beon Yamaha) still sits at the top of the provisional Pre-Moto3 ranking. His best opponent, Mattéo ROMAN (KTM RC4R), took the opportunity to climb back into the rankings and will be present with the knife between his teeth.

We will also find the driving forces of the category including Mathis FARGIER (KTM RC4R), young driver thirsty for victory.

SUPERSPORT 300: NEGRIER IN THE LEAD, PONCET AND DA CUNHA ON THE LOOKOUT!

Alexy NEGRIER (Yamaha – Pirelli) currently has a short lead over his two main opponents who are just a small point apart: Diego PONCET (Kawasaki – Pirelli) and Florent DA CUNHA (Kawasaki – Pirelli). The latter had two podiums to his name last year on the Nivernais circuit, so the question arises: who from the leading trio will be talked about in Nièvre?

It will be necessary to negotiate with distinguished riders in the category like Adrien QUINET (Kawasaki – Pirelli), Alexis BOUDIN (Yamaha – Michelin) or the excellent Line VIEILLARD (Yamaha FT Racing Academy – Michelin) who also have their say in the victory.

In Challenger, Enzo DAHMANI (Kawasaki – Dunlop) and Fergus CHRETIENNOT (KTM – Pirelli) are only separated by 2 points. They will have to continue their battle at Magny-Cours while being wary of Lucas LINXE (Kawasaki – Pirelli) and Ludovic AMOURET (Kawasaki – Pirelli), two skilled riders on the handlebars of their Kawasaki.

SIDE-CAR: PEUGEOT / PEUGEOT AND LEGLISE / LAVOREL IN DUEL

Riding their F600, PEUGEOT / PEUGEOT and LEGLISE / LAVOREL respond to the call of the 5rd round of the Championship. The short lead of 25 points for PEUGEOT / PEUGEOT does not discourage LEGLISE / LAVOREL who tries everything for everything in each race: continuation of the duel in the Nièvre!

The LUNEAU / BIDAULT, GUIGNARD / POUX and LEBAIL / LEVEAU crews are among the machines to follow for the rest of the podium.

In the F2 category, CHANAL / LAVOREL remains at the head of the ranking for the moment against LEBLOND / DOUANE CHAZELLE who the paddock regularly finds on the podiums. PALACOEUR / CESCUTTI and LEBLOND / CARRE occupy 3rd and 4rd provisional place with the same number of points: who will be ahead on Sunday evening?
