After a seven-week summer break, the French FSBK-FE Superbike Championship is back in session for the end-of-season sprint. From August 19 to 21, the sixth and penultimate stage of the Championship will take place on the Circuit Carole. Organizer, MC Motors Events is hosting a new round of the French speed elite, under the aegis of the FFM.

SUPERBIKE: DEBISE STILL NOT SAFE

In 2021, Carole's stage had not smiled on Valentin DEBISE (Yamaha – Michelin) who had experienced setbacks in the premier category while leading the Championship. He was subsequently unable to defend his chances due to an injury. The Albigensian driver presents himself again in Seine-Saint-Denis at the top of the ranking, with 39 points ahead of his runner-up and will be able to draw on his experience to secure a title which seems to be reaching out to him. In the event of favorable results, DEBISE could therefore add a new line to its list of achievements.

Provisionally 2nd following the Magny-Cours stage, Kenny FORAY (BMW Tecmas – Michelin) will compete on a Circuit which has been successful for it with five victories in the last eight races on the Ile-de-France circuit. The resident of Team BMW Tecmas will try to seek two new successes which could restart everything before the final. The objective will probably be the same for Mathieu GINES (Yamaha Tech Solutions – Pirelli), if the seven weeks of break allowed him to regain full possession of his means. With 4 French Superbike Champion titles between them, will FORAY and GINES be able to thwart DEBISE again?

To Alan TECHER (Honda CBO Racing – Michelin), the final victory now seems compromised. However, the former Grand Prix driver will be keen to reach the podium again to perhaps achieve a top 3 finish for his first season with the Honda CBO Racing team.

After a string of excellent results, the leader of the Challenger category Martin RENAUDIN (Yamaha Moto&GP Addict – Pirelli) was less visible during the last stage. Despite this slight drop in speed, RENAUDIN was able to score big points and temporarily remains 5th overall, 25 points behind TECHER and only 6 points ahead of its pursuer... Axel MAURIN (Yamaha CMS – Pirelli). The rider of the No. 89 Yamaha has the opportunity to finish in the top 5 overall for the sixth consecutive year in the premier category. A performance which would further consolidate his status as a flagship driver in the French Championship.

Behind the big names, the Ducati and Suzuki riders will fight for the top 10. Provisionally 7th, the Challenger Valentin SUCHET (Suzuki Junior Team LMS – Pirelli) will have to defend its position against the experienced Gregory LEBLANC (Ducati TWR – Pirelli) and David MUSCAT (Ducati – Michelin) as well as against his teammate Charles CORTOT (Suzuki Junior Team LMS – Pirelli) in full progress and to the reigning French Challenger Champion Guillaume ANTIGA (Ducati – Pirelli). Only 12th provisionally, Maximilian BAU (BMW – Michelin) could however be the strongest in this fight for 7th place. After a very difficult start to the season, the No. 108 driver seems to have found consistency aboard his BMW and should once again perform well on a track he likes.

In Challenger, it is difficult to imagine a turnaround. Barring disaster, RENAUDIN should win the title ahead of SUCHET. However, for the third step of the podium, the duel between CORTOT and BAU will maintain suspense among the young people.

TEMPORARY SITUATION SUPERBIKE
1- Valentin DEBISE – 204 points
2 – Kenny FORAY – 165 points
3 – Mathieu GINES – 163 points
4 – Alan TECHER – 147 points
5 – Martin RENAUDIN (Challenger) – 122 points

SUPERSPORT 600: DEBISE CLOSE TO SUCCEEDING HIMSELF

With ten victories in as many races, the superiority of Valentin DEBISE (Yamaha – Michelin) no longer needs to be proven. Despite a situation largely in his favor and 89 points in advance, the Albigensian will have to finish the job, he who showed himself in good form with the GMT 94 in the Mondial Supersport 600.

He will also have his chance in WSBK in September, but in the meantime, Matthew GREGORIO (Yamaha – Pirelli) must secure its 2nd place in the standings after a tricky weekend in Nièvre. Ambitious, the young Gard driver is probably aiming for his first victory.

After a bad series, Loïc ARBEL (Yamaha TWR Junior Team – Pirelli) found its way back to the podium during the last round. As for Johan GIMBERT (Yamaha – Pirelli), he rode there for the first time and twice. 5th in the provisional ranking, Enzo DE LA VEGA (Yamaha – Pirelli) also stood out during the last race and is in good form. On a short and winding track, the gaps should be tiny between the drivers in the top 5. Parisian spectators should therefore witness a fierce fight for the podium.

Regularly at the forefront, Matthew LUSSIANA (Yamaha – Dunlop), Kilian AEBI (Yamaha – Dunlop) and Cédric TANGRE (Yamaha – Pirelli) will be additional threats to the front men.

In Challenger, while GREGORIO seemed to be heading towards final victory, the Championship revived during the last stage, following the great performances of GIMBERT. GREGORIO is still 44 points ahead, GIMBERT will therefore have to beat his opponent twice to hope to play for the title in the final. For the third step on the podium, nothing is decided between Kilian AEBI and Bartholomé PERRIN (Yamaha – Pirelli) who are only 3 points apart.

TEMPORARY SITUATION SUPERSPORT 600
1- Valentin DEBISE – 257 points
2 – Matthieu GREGORIO (Challenger) – 168 points
3 – Loïc ARBEL – 134 points
4 – Johan GIMBERT (Challenger) – 117 points
5 – Enzo DE LA VEGA – 101 points

GRAND-PRICE OBJECTIVE

PRE-MOTO 3: WILL ROSTAGNI DEFEND HIS CHANCES?

Doubt hangs over the presence of the Pre-Moto 3 leader, Matthias ROSTAGNI (Béon – Bridgestone). Injured in the arm, the driver of the Béon n°13 has not yet confirmed his participation... In the event of the absence of Matthias ROSTAGNI, Célestin MASY (Béon – Bridgestone) would be able to take the lead in the provisional classification before the final , he who finally won his first victory at Magny-Cours. Only 6 points separate ROSTAGNI from MASY, but when will he be at the end of this sixth round?

The three drivers candidates for the top 3 in the general classification are close to each other. Quentin GODEFROY (KTM – Bridgestone) is provisionally 3rd with 116 points ahead, Camil BISSANE (KTM – Bridgestone), 114,5 points and Quentin MANDINE (Béon – Bridgestone), 106,5 points. Freshly on the podium, Swan EMPRIN (Beon – Bridgestone) could also get involved in this fight.

TEMPORARY SITUATION PRE-MOTO 3
1 – Matthias ROSTAGNI – 157 points
2 – Célestin MASY – 151 points
3 – Quentin GODEFROY – 116 points
4 – Camil BISSANE – 114,5 points
5 – Quentin MANDINE – 106,5 points

HONDA NSF 250: TOTAL SUSPENSE

Very fast but lacking in consistency, Benjamin CAILLET (Honda NSF – Bridgestone) was never able to make the break in front of Jules BERCOT (Honda NSF – Bridgestone). Before arriving at the Circuit Carole, the two drivers are only separated by 6 small points. On a track where young drivers in the speed sector have had the chance to practice recently, CAILLET and BERCOT will have a new opportunity to explain themselves in an attempt to make the difference. Very consistent since the start of the season, Lorenzo GUYAU (Honda NSF – Bridgestone) has finally won the victory, is now only 20,5 points behind the leader and is therefore making his appearance in a title race which is shaping up. thrilling.

On a series of two consecutive podiums, Eliott KASSIGIAN (Honda NSF – Bridgestone) came back to 18,5 points behind Lorenzo GUYAU and will probably play an important role during the last two stages.

TEMPORARY SITUATION HONDA NSF 250
1 – Benjamin CAILLET – 154,5 points
2 – Jules BERCOT – 148,5 points
3 – Lorenzo GUYAU – 134 points
4 – Elliot KASSIGIAN – 115,5 points
5 – Evan BOXBERGER – 99 points

SUPERSPORT 300: IDEAL SITUATION FOR DAHMANI

With seven podiums including four victories, Enzo DAHMANI (Yamaha – Pirelli) is on a breakneck pace. Leader of the Championship since the first race, the driver of the No. 13 Yamaha had a faultless run which he could be able to continue in Seine-Saint-Denis. By scoring at least 20 points more than his runner-up, Dorian JOULIN (Yamaha – Pirelli), during this 6th stage, Enzo DAHMANI would be crowned Champion of France. The latest winner to date, JOULIN is nevertheless determined to delay the deadline and offer himself a final battle on the Circuit Paul Ricard.

In all likelihood, Evann PLAINDOUX (Yamaha – Pirelli), Louca FRIEH (Yamaha – Pirelli), David DA COSTA (Yamaha – Pirelli) and Loris CHAIDRON (Yamaha – Pirelli) are no longer in the title race. However, the four drivers all hope to secure 3rd place in the general classification provisionally held by PLAINDOUX, or even to take the runner-up place occupied by JOULIN.

After bursting into the limelight in the middle of the season, Justine PEDEMONTE (Yamaha – Pirelli) and Lucie BOUDESSEUL (Yamaha – Pirelli) have unfortunately been less visible in recent races. The two female representatives will perhaps be able to land Carole their first podium.

In Challenger, all scenarios are possible since three drivers are still fighting for the title. Given the latest results, it is difficult to know who Valentin ROEDEL (Kawasaki – Pirelli), Evan PALHIER (Yamaha – Pirelli) or Théo TAUVERON (Yamaha – Pirelli) will gain the upper hand over his competitors.

TEMPORARY SITUATION SUPERSPORT 300
1 – Enzo DAHMANI – 180 points
2 – Dorian JOULIN – 146 points
3 – Evann PLAINDOUX – 117 points
4 – Louca FRIEH – 111 points
5 – David DA COSTA – 106 points

SIDECAR: PEUGEOT / PEUGEOT ASSAULT ON PERILLAT / KOTCHAN

Winner of the last four races in which he participated, PEUGEOT / PEUGEOT is a real threat to the current scratch leader PERILLAT / KOTCHAN. But the No. 52 crew still has a significant lead of 37 points at this stage of the season. Come to Carole to watch the duel and see if the PEUGEOT family will manage to reconnect with PERILLAT / KOTCHAN before the final.

LE BAIL / LEVEAU still hopes to secure at least second place, but the task promises to be difficult against the two big names. He will therefore have to defend a place on the podium which is far from guaranteed given the level displayed by PALACOEUR / CESCUTTI and its short chassis.

Furthermore, PALACOEUR / CESCUTTI is already 2022 French Champion in the F2 category. The other places in the top 3 remain to be determined between four competitors: MOREL / CARRE, BLERVAQUE / AMETTE, NODELFER / BONNOT and QUILBAULT / PESENTI.

TEMPORARY SITUATION SIDE-CAR
1– PERILLAT / KOTCHAN – 182 points
2 – PEUGEOT / PEUGEOT – 145 points
3 – LEASE / LEVEAU – 130 points
4 – PALACOEUR / CESCUTTI (F2) – 111 points
5 – BUTCHER / BUTCHER – 102 points
