Three weeks after the launch of the Championship, the FSBK-FE paddock stops at the Circuit Carole. Under the aegis of the FFM, the Moto Club Motors Events welcomes the best French riders for the 2rd round of the French Superbike Championship, on August 22 and 23.

SUPERBIKE: RETURN MATCH BETWEEN GINES AND DEBISE

After dominating the reigning Champion twice at Magny-Cours, Valentin DEBISE (Kawasaki Twist Ring Racing – Dunlop) presents himself to Carole in the leader's costume. For his part, Mathieu GINES (Yamaha Tech Solution – Michelin), author of the first pole position of the season in Nièvre, did not however achieve a victory. The rider of the Yamaha n°41 is therefore second in the general classification with only 6 points behind DEBISE. To the delight of the Parisian public, the two men will compete for the lead in the Championship on the technical track of the Carole circuit.

Respectively 3rd and 4rd overall, Axel MAURIN (Yamaha CMS – Michelin) and Alan TECHER (BMW Tecmas – Michelin) will also be there. MAURIN, a regular on the circuit and TECHER, revenge following some mechanical problems during his first weekend, should give the leader a hard time.

Among the other headliners in the Championship, we find Kenny FORAY (BMW MDS – Dunlop) and Morgan BERCHET (Yamaha – Pirelli) who had a mixed start to the season with one retirement each. At dawn of the 2rd meeting of the year, FORAY and BERCHET are outside the Top 5, but they could well make their return to the Circuit Carole which they both particularly like.

For his part, David MUSCAT (Ducati – Michelin) is having an encouraging start to the season, the representative of the Italian brand could also play spoilsport among the favorites.

In Challenger, thanks to their great performances, Nicolas ESCUDIER (Yamaha Tech Solutions – Pirelli) and Martin RENAUDIN (Yamaha – Pirelli) proved that they were serious candidates this season. Housed at 5rd and 6rd ranks of the general and in the first two positions of the Challenger ranking, the two adversaries will do it again in Île-de-France.

However, we will also have to count on Guillaume ANTIGA (Honda – Michelin), 3rd within its category, as well as on Team LMS drivers Clément STOLL (Suzuki – Dunlop) and Johan NIGON (Suzuki – Dunlop) who will be keen to get closer to their good performances of 2019.

SUPERSPORT 600: FROSSARD MUST PROVE HIMSELF AGAINST THE RETURN OF THE CHAMPION

Without doubt, Stéphane FROSSARD, double winner at Magny-Cours, will try to set the pace. However, a disruptive element in the Ile-de-France casting, Maximilien BAU (Yamaha – Michelin), could overshadow him. The 2019 Champion will have to face Guillaume RAYMOND (Yamaha – Michelin) who stood on the second step of the podium a year ago at Circuit Carole.

Another strong opponent, Guillaume POT (Yamaha – Dunlop) will start on a circuit where he won victory last season. 5rd in scratch, Cédric TANGRE (Triumph – Pirelli) is also able to claim the podium. To watch, Dylan MILLE (Yamaha – Pirelli) showed promising combativeness in the race at Magny-Cours, what about the Circuit Carole?

In Challenger, Matthieu GREGORIO (Yamaha – Pirelli) is among the leading drivers in Supersport and naturally presents himself as the favorite in the category to date. However, we must not forget Charles CORTOT (Yamaha – Pirelli), the rider was on the box at the end of the two races in 2019. Loïc MILLET (Yamaha), Ludovic CAUCHI (Yamaha – Pirelli) and Vincent FALCONE (Yamaha – Dunlop) will obviously be keen not to be left behind in the ranking of young drivers.

SUPERSPORT 300: OBJECTIVE N°1, DON’T LET CARBONNEL GO

Coming from the Coupes de France Promosport, Gregory CARBONNEL (Yamaha – Pirelli) took his first steps in Supersport 300 with great ease. The driver of the Yamaha n°10 therefore takes the start on the Carole circuit, donning the mantle of undisputed leader.

Respectively 2rd, 3rd and 4rd, Florent DE CUNHA (Kawasaki – Pirelli), Line VIEILLARD (Yamaha – Michelin) and Colin DRYE (Yamaha – Michelin) are in an 8-point pocket square. Already at least 18 lengths behind the leading driver, the three competitors will have to work hard to avoid being left behind.

After a less convincing start to the season, are Anatole BEAUPERE (Kawasaki), Exupéry BEAUMONT (Yamaha – Dunlop) and Louis LAGRIVE (Kawasaki – Dunlop) able to catch up with the leaders?

GRAND PRIX OBJECTIVE – PRE-MOTO3: WHO TO REVERSE THE HIERARCHY?

Within this “antechamber of Moto3” category, the beginnings of a hierarchy seem to have been established in the race. Clément GIABBANI (Moriwaki) won twice, always ahead of Léandro SANS QUINTANS (Beon Yamaha) eager to showcase his talents. While he is discovering the category this season, Mathis FARGIER (KTM PR3) twice climbed onto the third step of the podium, but he was not able to worry his predecessor. The technical route of the Carole Circuit can nevertheless change the situation: come what may!

The only representative of women in OGP, Célia RICHELMI (Beon Yamaha) can also claim the podium. The rider of the No. 44 Beon Yamaha demonstrated that she was capable of riding times close to those of the leaders. This is also the case for Elie ROUSSELOT (Moriwaki), Charly MALTERRE (Beon Yamaha) and Nathan AMIRAULT (Moriwaki), all seem to have their cards to play…

SIDE-CAR: VALIDATION OF ACHIEVEMENTS FOR DELANNOY / BIDAULT?

Despite his change of partner, the reigning French Champion seems imperturbable. At the end of the first round, DELANNOY / BIDAULT had largely taken the lead in the Championship and went to Carole to drive home the point.

To the 2rd and 3rd places in the F1 ranking the paddock finds the essential, BENIGNO / BOUCHARD and RAFFIER / FERREIRA, the two chassis are back to back on the eve of the second stage of the season where they are expected to put on a show.

In F2, the paddock finds crews accustomed to playing the leading roles, between CHANAL / LAVOREL and LEGUEN / CESCUTTI, the duel is already underway to win the title.

In the F600, LEGLISE / LAVOREL had an excellent start to the season and is reaching the end of its side at Carole with 22 points ahead of its first pursuer. Crew No. 33 can count on the family crew VINET / VINET to put on the show alongside them.
