September 22 and 23 will sound the death knell for the French Superbike Championship! Organized by MC Albi in collaboration with the FFM, the final point of the FSBK will reveal the 2018 Champions.
Who will hit the nail on the head in Superbike? Will the suspense maintained by the Supersport leaders end in the first race? Will the roles be reversed again in OGP? Who are the drivers who will complete the podiums in Side Car? Answer on the Albi Circuit (81)!
For this last event, the titled drivers at table time are invited to the starting grid of the Circuit d'Albi on Sunday at 12:15 p.m. for the official photo.
SUPERBIKE: GUARNONI ADVANTAGE
After a difficult round for Kenny FORAY (BMW Tecmas) on the Circuit Carole, Jérémy GUARNONI (Kawasaki Tech Solutions) increases his lead before the final. Without error, the title should not escape the rider of the #111 Kawasaki, but in the event of a mistake, he could still be surprised...the suspense remains.
In contact for 3rd place on the annual podium, Morgan BERCHET (Yamaha PMR) and Axel MAURIN (Yamaha CMS) are never very far from each other in the race. Despite the closeness of their results, everyone must be careful of Sébastien SUCHET (Kawasaki Tech Solutions) and Erwan NIGON (Honda), two drivers whose ability to lower times is well established.
The Albigensian stage is also an opportunity for drivers like David MUSCAT (Ducati), Louis ROSSI (Suzuki LMS) Matthieu LUSSIANA (BMW), David PERRET (Honda), Alex SARRABAYROUSE (Suzuki LMS) or Matthieu GINES (BMW MDS) to show their talent before the offseason “transfer window”.
Please note, Thibaut NAGORSKI (Suzuki LMS) and Johan NIGON (Yamaha), winners of the Promosport 600 and 1000 respectively, will start for a Superbike Wild Card in Albi.
On the Superbike Challenger side, Hugo CLERE (Suzuki LMS) is only a finger away from the title ahead of Maxime BONNOT (BMW Tecmas). The latter has a comfortable lead over Gabriel PONS (Kawasaki TTS) installed in 3rd place in the provisional standings since his absence from the Circuit Carole. The resident of the TTS team will certainly try to make his mark for the final in Albi: come what may!
SUPERSPORT – PIRELLI 600 TROPHY: TURNOVER FOR BULLE
Clearly, this end of the season is not leaning in favor of Enzo BOULOM (Yamaha)! After a “black” weekend in Île-de-France, the former general leader saw Louis BULLE (Yamaha) take the lead and Guillaume RAYMOND (Yamaha) in second place. In 4th and 5th position, Guillaume ANTIGA (Yamaha) and Maximilien BAU (Yamaha) also took advantage of the Ile-de-France stage to shine, what about a new coup?
The 5 drivers are literally neck and neck for the coronation, everything suggests that the final round in Albi will offer a most vibrant spectacle!
The paddock wished Clément STOLL a good return from injury on the Circuit Carole. Riding his No. 58 Triumph, he wasted no time in reminding us that he was not there to play extra and will surely put pressure on the leaders in the South.
In the Pirelli 600 Trophy, Gaëtan MATERN (Kawasaki) seems untouchable in front of Joris INGIULLA (Yamaha). After a 2017 season in OGP, the young rider of the Yamaha n°95 must resist Dylan MILLE (Yamaha) and Valentin GRIMOUX (Yamaha), respectively 3rd and 4th, to maintain his second place.
GRAND PRIX OBJECTIVE – PRE MOTO3: LAPIERRE IN BOUDIN’S SIGHTS
It's the turn of Marceau LAPIERRE (Yamaha Beon) to occupy the place of leader and Alexis BOUDIN (Yamaha Beon) that of challenger!
After having suffered some mechanical problems, BOUDIN shows his teeth, he will be keen to make the powder speak to recover his dues. On the other hand, Bartholomé PERRIN (Moriwaki), occasionally in leading roles during the season, can sow trouble between the two title contenders.
Lorentz LUCIANO (Beon), Marius HENRY (Honda) and Exupery BEAUMONT (MIR KTM) will also show their last card.
SIDE-CAR: TITLES GRANTED AND PODIUMS TO BE COMPLETED!
As we approach the final straight, two sides stand out from the rest, DELANNOY / ROUSSEAU and MOREAU / ARIFON! Titled under reservation of conforming machine, Sébastien DELANNOY, pilot of Side n°1 is out of reach. From now on, MOREAU / ARIFON, the best opponent of the multiple French Champion, will have no other choice than to win the next two races if he wishes to seize 2nd place overall. Facing him, the VINET duo and the 600cc of LE BAIL / LEVEAU will certainly not let themselves be done!
On the 600cc side, LE BAIL / LEVEAU, as an unchanging leader, seeks to establish itself among the F1. The rest of the podium will be decided between CARRE / DUPUIS, LEBLOND / CESCUTTI and LEGUEN / GAULARD, which of the 3 crews will have the last word?
