TWO CATEGORIES AND TWO DOUBLES, A FIRST IN THE HISTORY OF FSBK-FE

In the presence of the President of the FFM, Sébastien Poirier, the first stage of the French Championship organized by the Automobile Club de l'Ouest under the aegis of the FFM will remain engraved in the annals with a stratospheric performance from a supercharged Valentin Debise on the Bugatti Circuit of Le Mans!

SUPERBIKES
RACE 1: UNCONTESTABLY DEBISED

The premier category drivers take the start in the absence of Kenny FORAY (BMW Tecmas – Michelin), forced to stay in the pits following a mechanical incident at the start of the warm-up lap.

When the lights go out, Valentin DEBISE (Kawasaki Twist Ring Racing – Dunlop) sets the tone! His careful start from pole position allows him to take the advantage and prance in the lead without rival...

In second row at the start of the race, Axel MAURIN (Yamaha CMS – Michelin) saw Mathieu GINES (Yamaha Tech Solutions – Michelin) come up with the knife between his teeth. In the 5rd round, the French Champion wins 2rd place to the detriment of the rider of the Yamaha n°89. Now at 3rd rank, Axel MAURIN must deal with Alan TECHER (BMW Tecmas – Michelin) and Gregory LEBLANC (Ducati – Pirelli) determined to thwart the plans of the resident of Team CMS.

In 10rd turn, a fall occurs in the group of pursuers: Gregory LEBLANC is on the ground! Fortunately, he gets up immediately without gravity.
We also observe Alan TECHER making a mistake and going down in the rankings. The driver of the No. 5 BMW, however, managed to stay on the track and limited the damage to 8rd rank.

The gaps widen between DEBISE, GINES and MAURIN during the 2rd racing part. After going it alone during the 17 laps, DEBISE won with almost 10 seconds in advance. A first big victory in the Championship! GINES confirms its 2rd place in front of MAURIN. At the foot of the podium, Morgan BERCHET (Yamaha – Dunlop) made a very good return to the French Superbike Championship.

In 5rd place in the scratch, Challenger rider Martin RENAUDIN (Yamaha Moto&GPAddict – Pirelli) begins the season with great fanfare with first place in the young rider category. On the 2rd step of the Challenger podium, Alan AGOGUE (Yamaha – Dunlop) shines after starting from 15rd place on the starting grid with a nice 10rd place for scratching. Valentin SUCHET (Suzuki LMS – Bridgestone), for his part, completes the podium.
Note, Guillaume ANTIGA (Honda – Michelin), the fastest driver in the category during practice, fell on the second lap but nevertheless managed to get back on the track. After starting at the end of the standings, the driver of the Honda n°26 rewarded the paddock with a “comeback” in order to conclude the race at 13rd instead.

RACE 2: DEBISE IMPERIAL
No doubt, Valentin DEBISE (Kawasaki Twist Ring Racing – Dunlop) is “the man of the weekend” on the track of the Bugatti Circuit of Le Mans! From the first lap, he continues the fast laps and moves alone in the lead to conclude this first stage of the French Championship with a double in the premier category!

After making an excellent start, Kenny FORAY (BMW Tecmas – Michelin) is in second place in the 2rd round, however, he fails to maintain the pace. The reigning vice-Champion is gradually overtaken by Mathieu GINES (Yamaha Tech Solutions – Michelin), Axel MAURIN (Yamaha CMS – Michelin) and Alan TECHER (BMW Tecmas – Michelin) who take turns getting the better of the rider of the BMW #78. In 6rd and 7rd position, Gregory LEBLANC (Ducati – Pirelli) and Matthieu LUSSIANA (Yamaha – Dunlop) are in ambush!

Before mid-race, LEBLANC delivered a successful blow to FORAY then put pressure on TECHER. Behind GINES, the MAURIN – TECHER – LEBLANC trio is extremely compact. Two laps from the checkered flag, the driver of the No. 5 BMW takes the lead over MAURIN but the latter does not let himself be left behind.

The hierarchy will not change on the finish line for the top 2. Behind the rider of the Kawasaki n°153, GINES demonstrates its rigor and consolidates second place ahead of TECHER. On the other hand, we find LEBLANC who finishes at the foot of the podium after having got the better of MAURIN in the last moments of the race. Slower in the second part of the race, FORAY goes down in the ranking to 11rd rank.

As for the Challenger riders, Martin RENAUDIN (Yamaha Moto&GPAddict – Pirelli) holds off the attacks of Guillaume ANTIGA (Honda – Michelin) until the end and once again climbs to the highest step of the podium. On the 3rd step of the podium, the paddock finds Alan AGOGUE (Yamaha – Dunlop).

In the provisional standings, DEBISE is in the lead with 52 points ahead of GINES (40 points) and MAURIN (27 points).
As a challenger, RENAUDIN is in the lead with 52 points ahead of AGOGUE (36 points) and ANTIGA (33 points).

SUPERSPORT 600
RACE 1: DEBISE MAKES THE GOLE

Despite the good start of Valentin DEBISE (Kawasaki – Pirelli), it was Challenger rider Ludovic CAUCHI (Yamaha – Pirelli) who concluded the first lap in the lead followed very closely by the rider of the #153 Kawasaki. Hugo CLERE (Yamaha – Pirelli), for his part, remains in the wake of the two men.

After 2 laps, DEBISE imposes its pace and widens the gap, leaving CLERE and CAUCHI in discussion for the rest of the podium. These last two protagonists are then joined by Supersport Challenger riders Charles CORTOT (Yamaha – Dunlop) and Tom BERCOT (Yamaha – Pirelli). The quartet then begins a crossover where the duo CAUCHI – CLERE breaks away, leaving BERCOT in 4rd rank and CORTOT at 5rd, both separated by a few meters…

Regular and efficient, DEBISE signs a first victory with more than 4 seconds ahead of its pursuers. At the end of his fierce battle against CLERE, CAUCHI retains 2rd place by a head on the finish line and finished on the top step of the Challenger podium. CLERE therefore wins 3rd instead.

At the foot of the scratch podium, BERCOT can be satisfied with his victory against CORTOT who ranks 5rd. The latter two respectively finish 2rd and 3rd on the Challenger podium.

We also observe the good performance of Challenger rider Matthieu GREGORIO (Yamaha – Michelin) who ranks 6rd in front of 3rd Supersport driver of the race: Cédric TANGRE (Triumph – Michelin).

RACE 2: DEBISE ON A CLOUD

True to form, the untenable Valentin DEBISE (Kawasaki) gets off to a superb start and kills the suspense from the start! The excited Albigensian took victory with more than 14 seconds ahead of his pursuers.

For the second step of the podium, Challenger rider Ludovic CAUCHI (Yamaha – Pirelli) and his best opponent of the day in Supersport Hugo CLERE (Yamaha – Pirelli) are not counting their efforts. Literally neck and neck, the two drivers see Cédric TANGRE (Triumph – Michelin) return in their wake to battle the 3rd place. After a long debate, the Challenger driver once again got the better of CLERE and finished second. TANGRE, only a few tenths behind, finished at the foot of the podium.

From the 5rd the 9rd instead, the paddock was able to witness a fierce battle between Tom BERCOT (Yamaha -Pirelli) Kévin LONGEARET (Yamaha – Dunlop), Charles CORTOT (Yamaha – Dunlop), Kilian AEBI (Suzuki – Pirelli) and Adrien ROLLET (Yamaha – Dunlop) .

Finally, the hierarchy remains unchanged, BERCOT and CORTOT complete the Challenger podium.

Provisionally, DEBISE is in the lead with 52 points ahead of CAUCHI (40 points) and CLERE (32 points).
In Challenger, CAUCHI is in the lead with 51 points ahead of BERCOT (41 points) and CORTOT (32 points).

GRAND PRIX OBJECTIVE- PRE MOTO 3
RACE 1: MIZERA AT THE TACK!

Still as fast as the day before, Amaury MIZERA (Beon Yamaha) made a very good start to the race which allowed him to take the lead and open up a comfortable gap on the rest of the competitors in the field. Unsurprisingly during the end of the race, he won with almost 30 seconds ahead of his first competitor in Pre-Moto3 Leandro QUINTANS SANS (Beon Yamaha)

It is precisely to QUINTANS SANS and Mathis FARGIER (KTM RC4R) that we must turn to witness a muscular exchange for the podium. However, FARGIER seems to have a mechanical problem and goes down in the ranking at the end of the race. QUINTANS SANS then ranks 2rd ahead of Mathéo ROMAN (KTM RC4R) who inherits 3rd instead.

RACE 2: SECOND VICTORY FOR MIZERA

As comfortable as ever, Amaury MIZERA (Beon Yamaha) once again demonstrates his leadership aboard the Beon Yamaha n°111. He takes off from the start of the race and sets a pace that only he can maintain. He finished as king with more than 34 seconds ahead of his first competitor in OGP.

Leandro QUINTANS SANS (Beon Yamaha), for his part, finished 2rd. It's for 3rd place in the category as the battle rages. Rémy SANJUAN (KTM RC4R) does well and completes the podium leaving Mathéo ROMAN (KTM RC4R) and Enzo SIRE (Moriwaki) in 4rd and 5rd place of OGP.

In the provisional standings, MIZERA is in the lead with 52 points ahead of QUINTANS SANS (40 points) and ROMAN and SANJUAN, both tied with 29 points.

NSF250
RACE 1: FACE TO FACE BETWEEN MARIUS AND GIABBANI

The 3 OGP Pre-Moto2020 French Champion, Clément GIABBANI (Honda), must face Henry MARIUS (Honda) for victory! The two drivers are neck and neck trying to win until the very last laps where MARIUS proves his good form and wins.

Clément GIABBANI finished second. The 3rd category driver Ilan PERON (Honda) does not finish the race.

RACE 2: GIABBANI WINNER

Vengeful and opportunistic, Clément GIABBANI (Honda) took advantage of a mechanical problem which led Henry MARIUS (Honda) to stop the proceedings after 2 laps to win in the NSF 250 category.

Ilan PERON (Honda) logically moves up to number 2rd step of the podium.

Provisionally, GIABBANI is in the lead with 46 points ahead of HENRY (26 points) and PERON (20 points).

SUPERSPORT 300
RACE 1: HEAD AND SHOULDERS NEGRIER

After being injured, Alexis BOUDIN (Yamaha – Michelin), although second in the timed practice sessions, and Anatole BEAUPERE (Kawasaki – Pirelli), who only took part in the free practice sessions, were unable to start the race.

It is therefore calm that the poleman Alexy NEGRIER (Yamaha – Pirelli) takes control from the start of the race and begins to widen the gap on the duo Adrien QUINET (Kawasaki – Pirelli) – Paul CAILLOL (Kawasaki – Pirelli). The latter fell in the Dunlop chicane and let QUINET take second place.

However, a chasing group made up of Gabin CAZARD (Yamaha – Pirelli), Diego PONCET (Kawasaki – Pirelli) and Lucas SASSONE (Yamaha FT Racing Academy – Michelin), quickly catches up on Adrien QUINET.

After 4 laps of racing, CAZARD relegates QUINET to second place. After a few laps, CAZARD opened a timid gap on his pursuers. QUINET, SASSONE and PONCET then exchange multiple passes to complete the podium.

“Head and shoulders” are the words used by Jean-Claude BRUNEAU, the speaker of the French Championship, to describe NEGRIER’s domination! He finished victorious with more than 11 seconds ahead of CAZARD and SASSONE. QUINET and PONCET rank respectively 4rd and 5rd.

Note the great performance of the first representative of the fairer sex, Line VIEILLARD (Yamaha FT Racing Academy – Michelin), who concluded the race in 6rd rank.

In Challenger, it's very close for the podium! At the end of the race, Ludovic AMOURET (Kawasaki – Pirelli) made the difference and won ahead of Fergus CHRETIENNOT (KTM – Pirelli) and Lucas LINXE (Kawasaki – Pirelli).

RACE 2: FIRST VICTORY FOR QUINET

And here we go for 12 laps, including a very good start from Alexy NEGRIER (Yamaha – Pirelli) ahead of Gabin CAZARD (Yamaha – Pirelli) and Adrien QUINET (Kawasaki – Pirelli). The #93 Kawasaki quickly gains the upper hand over CAZARD and takes 2rd place. Determined to continue his effort, Adrien QUINET also takes the advantage over Alexy NEGRIER, in the 2rd sector the two young men finish the first round in this order.

The two protagonists seem determined to put on a show, and are gradually distancing themselves from the rest of the peloton led by Gabin CAZARD followed by Diego PONCET (Kawasaki – Pirelli) and Florent DA CUNHA (Kawasaki – Pirelli). The leading duo goes blow for blow and regularly exchanges the leadership position, to the great pleasure of the paddock which misses nothing of this engaged battle.

At the halfway point, 323 thousandths separate QUINET, provisional leader, and NEGRIER, his runner-up. Behind, the hierarchy also offers us great battles between CAZARD and PONCET who regularly exchange the 3rd instead, DA CUNHA is currently playing the role of observer at the 5rd position.

More regular, NEGRIER takes first position for the long term and widens a slight gap on QUINET who does his best and resists well, without positioning himself in order to carry out an attack. However, on the last lap, NEGRIER fell in the Chapelle bend and left QUINET free to score his first victory of the season ahead of CAZARD and PONCET who completed the podium.
Line VIEILLARD (Yamaha FT Racing Academy – Michelin), regular and incisive, signs a very nice 4rd place after taking the advantage over DA CUNHA, 5th.

In Challenger, after occupying first place in the category for a good part of the race, Fergus CHRETIENNOT (KTM – Pirelli) lost to his best opponent Ludovic AMOURET (Kawasaki – Pirelli).

Lucas LINXE (Kawasaki – Pirelli) finishes, like in the morning, in 3rd instead.

In the provisional standings, CAZARD is in the lead with 40 points ahead of QUINET (39 points) and PONCET (27 points).
As a challenger, AMOURET is in the lead with 51 points ahead of CHRETIENNOT (40 points) and LINXE (33 points).

SIDECAR
RACE 2: REEVES / ROUSSEAU DOES THE DOUBLE

The scenario is repeated among the side leaders! The duel between REEVES / ROUSSEAU and STREUER / CLEMENT once again ensures the spectacle during this second race. Side n°77 opened a small gap on STREUER / CLEMENT and consolidated the leading position throughout the race. STREUER / CLEMENT therefore ranks 2rd.

Au 3rd rank, PEUGEOT / PEUGEOT, although in the wheel of the leading crews at the start of the race, very quickly found itself isolated and finished on the last step of the podium.

For its part, LEGLISE / LAVOREL which was forced to abandon race 1, managed to rank 4rd in front of BARBIER / RIGONDEAU.

In F2, CHANAL / LAVOREL wins a second victory this weekend! LEGUEN / CESCUTTI and PALACOEUR / CESCUTTI complete the podium with less than half a second apart.

Provisionally, STREUER / CLEMENT and REEVES / ROUSSEAU are in the lead with both 46 points ahead of PEUGEOT / PEUGEOT (32 points).
In F2, CHANAL / LAVOREL holds the lead with 52 points ahead of LEGUEN / CESCUTTI (36 points) and PALACOEUR / CESCUTTI (27 points).
