As part of the revitalization of its Speed Sector, the French Motorcycling Federation brought together the top 11 of the provisional ranking on May 12 and 93 at the Circuit Carole (5).after the Nogaro ordeal) of the Supersport 600 Challenger category of the French FSBK-FE Championship for a course dedicated to performance.

Three pilots took part in this first gathering organized by the FFM. This course for this Challenger category reserved for 15 – 21 year olds was a real success. For two days, Tom Berçot, Matthieu Gregorio and Charles Cortot benefited from the wise advice of Kenny Foray, World Endurance Champion and multiple French Superbike Champion, still competing in these two Championships in 2021.
Our three young people showed unfailing commitment through the various workshops offered. Diligent, taking advantage of group emulation, they showed themselves more and more at ease on the Ile-de-France track which will host a stage of the French Superbike Championship on August 21 and 22.

In charge of supervision, Kenny shared his experience with them without restraint: “ Succeeding at the highest level is a long process where everything must be optimized. Through this course, I have an overall look at their approach to competition on and off the track. I reminded them of the importance of getting out of your comfort zone, being demanding of yourself and seizing every opportunity in the race. »

The work also continued in the classroom with individual interviews in order to analyze each person's season and optimize all performance factors. Also associated with this operation, the Yamaha GMT94 team represented by Rémi Guyot addressed numerous themes linked to the motorcycling sport environment.

Sébastien Poirier, President of the French Motorcycling Federation: « This first course represents a new dynamic in terms of federal support for our best hopes evolving within this 600 sector. Our French Championship is a real springboard for accession to the high level and we must promote it. The opportunity that will be offered to the leader of the Supersport 600 category ranking to participate as a wildcard in the French round of the 2021 World Supersport on a GMT94 Yamaha is one of them. »

Caroline Castillo, National Technical Director of the FFM: « We must continue the emulation created in the French championship and make these young people work together to allow them to raise their level. As part of these performance courses, which will be two in number this season, we want to provide them with all the keys to succeed at the highest level. »
