On June 16 and 17, the French Superbike Championship descends on the South of France in the Occitanie region near Lédenon (30). Organized by MC Lédenon and overseen by the FFM, the 3th stage of the FSBK promises to be fiercely contested! Each point is decisive when it comes to drawing an initial assessment before mid-season.
SUPERBIKE: GUARNONI IN THE LEAD, FORAY CHALLENGER?
The reigning French Champion Kenny FORAY (BMW Tecmas) has a lot to do this year against the imposing domination of Jérémy GUARNONI (Kawasaki Tech Solutions). The entire paddock remembers FORAY's unstoppable double last year on the Gard circuit, will the driver of the No. 1 BMW be able to repeat his performance to reverse the trend? Full of confidence, the resident of Team Tech Solutions has no intention of putting an end to his winning streak!
Following the aspirations of the two leaders, the rider from the Alps, Morgan BERCHET (Yamaha), is learning quickly! After winning the Superbike Challenger title last year, he confirmed in the premier category by playing the leading roles in each race. For his part, Matthieu LUSSIANA (BMW) is working to keep up with the leaders. His speed and driving suggest that he is capable of breaking into the Top 3.
Regular, the two foreign riders Sébastien SUCHET (Kawasaki) and Roberto ROLFO (Yamaha) have not yet had the opportunity to get on the podium. They will have to increase the pace to establish themselves at the top of the hierarchy. Another serious competitor, Erwan NIGON (Honda) told the press that he was not chasing the title but he wants to prove that we can count on him.
In Lédenon, you will have to do without David PERRET (Honda), the 2017 French vice-Champion will not be present on the asphalt of the hilly circuit. The whole paddock hopes to see the friendly Angevin driver again soon.
In Superbike Challenger, the battle rages between Gabriel PONS (Kawasaki) and Hugo CLERE (Suzuki LMS). “Ponpon” held his ground high during the 2th stop at Nogaro. Everything suggests that CLERE will respond to Lédenon but watch out for Maxime BONNOT (BMW)… The driver of the BMW n°110 has already shown that he is capable of placing himself at the top of the ranking!
SUPERSPORT – PIRELLI 600 TROPHY: A FEW LENGTHS AHEAD FOR STOLL
The result of flawless regularity, the Triumph driver, Clement STOLL, holds the reins of the provisional ranking despite his lack of first place. “Wild Card” rider of the first two events, Enzo BOULOM (Yamaha) will not defend his chances at Lédenon, will this situation benefit STOLL to open his victory counter? The duel for first place promises to be exciting given the multiple contenders for the Gard throne: Guillaume ANTIGA (Yamaha), in great shape after his double podium at Nogaro and Louis BULLE (Yamaha), determined to return to the forefront after their double at the start of the season.
Following his participation in the French Grand Prix in the Moto2 category, Cédric TANGRE (Suzuki), returns with the knife between his teeth within the Supersport that he dominated last year! Guillaume RAYMOND (Yamaha), Martin RENAUDIN (Yamaha) and Guillaume POT (Yamaha) are also able to disrupt the established order. Confirmation or not on June 16 and 17.
On the Pirelli 600 Trophy side, two riders stand out but it is Gaëtan MATERN (Kawasaki) who is in charge of operations with a very slim lead over Valentin GRIMOUX (Yamaha). The category is led by Dylan MILLE (Yamaha) and the newcomer, Joris INGIULLA (Yamaha), two men capable of playing the leading roles for this new stage.
GRAND PRIX OBJECTIVE – PRE MOTO3: LAPIERRE UNDER THREAT
At the top of the provisional ranking, Marceau LAPIERRE (Beon Yamaha) is put under pressure by a group of four riders who are within 5 points. The fight for the title is extremely competitive among young people who are overflowing with talent.
The young woman, Line VIEILLARD (Yamaha), is the leader of the quartet chasing LAPIERRE. The rider of the Yamaha no. 37 is putting her foot down against all of her male competitors: Alexis BOUDIN (Beon Yamaha) and Bartholomé PERRIN (Moriwaki), the strong men of the moment following their magnificent performances in the Gers! Another driving force on the field, Marius HENRY (Honda) will also have his say in the quest for the final podium.
SIDE-CAR: A 600 AMONG THE 1000
MOREAU / ARIFON leads the way in F1 but the paddock must now count on the return of multiple French Champion DELANNOY / ROUSSEAU, currently 4th in the provisional ranking. Absent during the first event, the Side n°1 made a notable return to the forefront but, despite this performance, the duo VINET / VINET, the pair LE BAIL / LEVEAU in 600cc and MOREAU / ARIFO blocked the Champion of France…
The GALLERNE / CHAIGNEAU, OUGER / PEUGEOT and BARBIER / CROCHEMORE crews can play spoilsport among the favorites. What will happen on the Lédenon circuit?
On the 600cc side, the LE BAIL / LEVEAU crew teases the big cars and shines in second place in the scratch ranking. Author of a faultless record since the start of the season, will a crew be able to get the better of Side n°99? SIRO / SIRO, CARRE / DUPUIS and LEBLOND / FARNIER are best placed to make the connection and attack the leader! See you on June 16 and 17 to take stock.
