First Yamaha rider on the evening of the 5th round of the FSBK season at Pau Arnos, Bartholomé Perrin wins the FFM/Yamaha/GMT94 Wild Card for the French round of the World Championship World SBK on the Nevers Magny-Cours circuit (58). A great recognition for a promising young rider, who sees this opportunity as a step closer to his dream: to one day join the FIM Superbike World Championship.

The challenge for the French Motorcycling Federation and GMT94 is clear: to best promote the French Superbike Championship and enable the French hopefuls involved to push open the door to WorldSBK. This is a structuring sporting project that also benefits from the support of La Mutuelle des Motards and Pirelli Moto France.

At just 21 years old, the young rider is having a great season at the forefront of his Supersport 600 class. Consistent, incisive, and combative, he has racked up podium finishes without ever leaving the top 5. Joining DMT Racing, a structure officially supported by GMT94, he has been able to showcase his talent despite starting the season without winter testing. His career has also led him to participate in several days of private training alongside Lucas Mahias, where he was able to gauge the demands of the world championship and learn from an experienced rider. Bartholomé logically guarantees himself a place on the starting grid for the French WorldSBK round, which will be held from September 5 to 7, 2025.

This Wild Card represents an opportunity to take a step forward, to learn within a leading structure and to compete with the best. To best prepare him, two days of private testing on the Yamaha YZF-R9 GMT94 will be organized on the Carole Circuit. Then, for a weekend, Bartholomé will benefit from the same technical and human support as Lucas Mahias (WorldSSP) and Lucie Boudesseul (WorldWCR), under the direction of Christophe Guyot.

Sébastien Poirier, President of the French Motorcycling Federation: «The French Motorcycling Federation is delighted to be able, once again this year, to allow one of the riders in the Supersport 600 category to discover an international level of competition. We are committed, through this collaboration between the FFM and GMT94, to providing the best possible support to French riders on the world stage, year after year. In addition to being a great opportunity to represent your country in the World Championship, this Wild Card can be a real springboard for the sporting careers of those who benefit from it, like Valentin Debise and Johan Gimbert who officiate respectively in WorldSSP and European Moto2. That's all I wish for Bartholomé!

Christophe Guyot, GMT94 Yamaha Team Manager: «The Wild Card project, orchestrated by GMT94 in collaboration with the FFM and Yamaha within the FSBK, injects a palpable dynamism and strong competitiveness into the French championship, where every weekend the public witnesses great battles in Supersport 600. I am certain that in the years to come, many riders from the FSBK will progress to the international level to defend the French colors at the highest level. Since the beginning, the FFM and Yamaha have given us constant support, so that the lucky one chosen to race at Magny Cours can benefit from a first comprehensive experience in the Supersport World Championship in the best conditions. We are proud and honored to be the gateway to this championship for young talents. »

Gregory Lejosne, General Manager of Yamaha France: « A long-standing partner of the FFM, the "Wild Card" project offers the best French Yamaha representative in SSP the opportunity to join the GMT94 structure for the World Championship round at Magny-Cours. Thank you to Christophe Guyot and the FFM for continuing to make our riders dream but also and above all for revealing the talents of today and tomorrow. This shared ambition with Yamaha also motivated the strengthening of our commitment in 2025 with the creation of the "Yamaha Challenge 700" within the framework of the FSBK.
