For the moment, a little less surprising than expected, the presentation 2026 of the Ducati Lenovo Team MotoGP Madonna di Campiglio nevertheless revealed Desmosedici GP26s with a new livery, here are the photos.

The main difference in the 2026 livery compared to last year is that the red is slightly darker and white makes its appearance.

Claudio Domenicali (CEO of Ducati Motor Holding ) explains it by a reference to the past of the Borgo Panigale brand which is celebrating its centenary this year.

“We thought it was a very good time to reinterpret a colour which, in fact, will become a new colour for the MotoGP we will see soon. We call it Rosso Centenario.”
We were inspired by a color from our past, a shade that was present on the Ducati 60 and the Ducati Marianna, two very important models in our history.
We therefore thought this was the perfect time to use one of our most powerful marketing tools, MotoGP, to convey this message.
I would also like to thank Aldo Drudi, who helped us design the livery, because not only is the color new, but there are also stripes on the bike that echo Ducati's history. We had already used this style in the past during major racing successes for our brand.

The reference to the Ducati Marianna takes us back to 1958, the year when Fabio Taglioni develops the 125 Desmo Triple Camshaft (Trialbero) thus decorated with red stripes on a white fairing on certain versions (opening photo)…
This aesthetic reminder, materialized by a double white stripe on the GP26, will perhaps be appreciated in various ways, just as the introduction of white on Ferraris was. Niki Lauda et Clay regazzoni in 1975…
