Cal Crutchlow is the angry man of MotoGP. Annoyed by the Michelin tires for several Grands Prix, the LCR driver arrived at the Sachsenring having a grudge against the dizzying turn 11 which he considers worth having to revisit for safety reasons. After qualifying with a good fourth place, his mood had become more conciliatory again. He even had in mind a bet to make with the front tire race. A risk that was ultimately not taken. But this front tire caused him problems. So, obviously, the Englishman is upset…

Fourth on the grid is tenth under the checkered flag, it's a Cal Crutchlow obviously disappointed who stored his Honda in the LCR box. A development that the Briton had not imagined, like Petrucci had probably not expected to finish twelfth even though he had started from the first row.

But the result is there. Riding in a medium pair even though he had declared the day before that he would attempt a hard front, Crutchlow recounted his misfortunes thus: “ I am extremely disappointed. And I'm even happy to be finished! This is downright the worst Grand Prix of this season. We had a problem with the front tire ».

« The team is currently analyzing what happened but it is already clear that the tire took on too much pressure. I had absolutely no grip. I couldn't slow myself down properly. So I slowed down my pace to let the tire cool down a bit before attacking again, but the problem returned five laps later. I also made mistakes. But when you don't have grip in the corners, you don't have enough launch on the straight. I lost up to four places at once ».

It's now vacation time for Crutchlow who, as a member of the Honda clan, still finished ahead Miller but had to let it go Pedrosa, third, and Márquez, winner. He even drank the chalice to the dregs while being overtaken for the finish by Johann zarco…. It’s annoying, obviously.
