On the fifth lap of the German Moto2 Grand Prix, Alex Márquez lost control of his bike at turn #2 while in third position in the race (watch the video here).

The fall was violent because, in his roll, the Marc VDS driver was hit several times by his Kalex. At the time, we were worried about it (see here).

However, after a visit to the mobile clinic, the Spanish pilot simply seemed offended and, moreover, the Press release makes no specific reference to his physical state.

However, when transported to Chemnitz hospital, he was diagnosed with a stable fracture of the spinous process of a cervical vertebra, requiring him to wear a neck brace for around ten days.

A stable vertebral fracture poses no danger to the spinal cord and does not require any surgery, pain treatment and physiotherapy are generally sufficient. This could, however, call into question the participation of Marc's brother in the private tests planned in two weeks on the Brno circuit., just after those of the Honda driver.
