#GermanGP Moto3 FP3: Joan Mir flies over the Sachsenring again

Excellent since the start of this weekend, World Championship leader Joan Mir once again dominated his opponents during the third free practice session. This Saturday morning he preceded Bo Bendsneyder, Livio Loi (Mir's teammate) and Nicolo Bulega.

Only the Moto3 category had two free practice sessions in the dry on Friday. It was an advantage to set up the bikes in the dry, but the sun is not guaranteed for Sunday. The weather was good this Saturday morning for FP3, attacking the 1'27.189 achieved the day before by Joan Mir. Both the air temperature and the ground temperature were 16°. Danny Kent and Maria Herrera received a 12-place grid penalty for driving too slowly (beyond 110% three times) on Friday.

Jorge Martin was out due to fractures of his right ankle and tibia that occurred this Friday. He will probably – to be confirmed – operated on Monday in Barcelona. The injured Niccolo Antonelli was replaced by Danny Kent.

Joan Mir set the first fast time in 1'28.134, 0.2 ahead of Enea Bastianini and Juanfran Guevara, and 0.3 ahead of Nicolo Bulega. Mir picked up the pace in 1'27.987, while Lorenzo dalla Porta fell without gravity in the first corner. Jules Danilo was in fourteenth position at 1.2 with 25 minutes to go before the checkered flag.

Behind Joan Mir, the favorites began to regroup with Aron Canet second ahead of Nicolo Bulega, Enea Bastianini, Juanfran Guevara, Andrea Migno and Romano Fenati.

Several teams increased the pressure in the rear Dunlops to increase their longevity by preventing them from gaining too much temperature, by doing exactly the opposite with the front, that is to say by reducing the pressure to promote warming up. . The pace then accelerated in 1'27.793 for Nicolo Bulega, while Enea Bastianini fell without seriousness in turn 1. Joan Mir regained the lead in 1'27.540. Darryn Binder also fell.
