For his third season in Moto3, Jorge Martin Almoguera is undoubtedly one of the revelations of the year in the small Grand Prix category.

Currently 4th in the World Championship, with already three 3rd places and a 2nd place, victory seemed close for the Gresini driver when a spectacular crash during FP2 ended his weekend in Germany.

Recovered with a fracture of the tibial malleolus of the right ankle, the young Madrid native was repatriated to Spain to be operated on at the Dexeus clinic in Barcelona.

The operation went well but, unfortunately, it also revealed damage to the ligaments and, more seriously, a broken heel which will require a longer recovery than expected.

The native of San Sebastián de los Reyes nevertheless keeps his humor with this message posted on social networks: “well, after 27 hours without eating, 25 hours without drinking, and a shin operation, it’s official, the vacation begins! »

We obviously wish the best possible recovery to this young, always smiling 19-year-old boy.
