Barely got off his Yamaha M1 from the Tech3 team after leading this German Grand Prix at home, Jonas Folger expressed his emotions on the site's microphone MotoGP.com.
You led the race, you pushed Marc Márquez to his limits and you obtained your first podium in MotoGP. What do you feel ?
Jonas Folger : “I don’t really know what to say. I never expected this today. I was very strong and I was able to follow Marc quite well. I honestly can't believe we were able to pull away from the others. I thought Dani might stay with us. But yeah, I was behind him, trying to save my tires when I suddenly made a big mistake at turn #1. I lost a little on Marc and tried to catch up with him. And, yes, I burned my tire. I didn't do the time he did in the last two laps but I really think I could have beaten him today. I had good pace but the tire deteriorated two laps before. But anyway, I'm very happy with this second place. Thanks to the whole team and to Hervé who believed in me even though I came from Moto2. And thank you to all the German fans. That's wonderful. »
